Nice little place downtown, very close to major offices and attractions. Good option if you are looking for something with a kitchenette. Rooms are small though, won't recommend for longer stays.
The Residence Inn Baltimore Downtown/Inner Harbor is a great place for a longer term stay. My favorite part about staying in Residence Inns is that each room feels like an apartment, with a kitchen and separate bedrooms if you get the larger room. There is a Whole Foods and fine wine store about a 15 minute walk away, so you can really save some money and enjoy your room by not going out to eat. Although, there are a ton of places to eat and drink just a block outside of the hotel lobby. There are also dance clubs and music venues, including Pier Six, the larger scale outdoor venue on the water. The location is really ideal if you’re looking to be downtown for work or play. The Convention Center, Inner Harbor and Camden Yards are all within easy walking distance. An interesting side note—the building used to be a bank, so there are neat details from its history throughout the otherwise modern lobby.
Would the Residence Inn be my top choice to stay in Baltimore? No. Would I be upset if I had to stay there? No. It is a fine hotel, but doesn't offer much in the way of character. That being said, the free wifi and complimentary breakfast are welcome perks.
There wasn't anything wrong with this hotel, it was just pretty average considering the other hotels surrounding it. Given that every room is a suite with a kitchen though, this is a great choice for those who are on an extended stay in the area. I felt like I was walking into an apartment building- maybe because it is a suite hotel- it didn't have the same 'charm' as other places. But, it was all very clean and well-maintained. They are pet-friendly, smoke-free, and have a 24/7 fitness room, all nice amenities. The location is good too- an easy walk to the Inner Harbor or Camden Yards. The restaurant attached looks decent- I didn't eat, but the menu looked good, and I loved the exposed brick and decor. Large families or groups would be happy here, same with those on long business trips.
Great for extended stays! Nice, clean, very big rooms with comfortable beds and linens. Modern decor makes for a bright ambience but I did think it was a little dark. Next time I'll request a room that gets more natural sunlight.
They have a good restaurant/bar in-house which can be a fun place to enjoy a crab cake and a beer while people-watching. I was a little turned off by the hotel and restaurant staff. They weren't rude, just frazzled. There were a couple of really loud families in the lobby and lots of people checking in, so maybe they were overwhelmed. It seems like it's a very busy and bustling place and I was told they often sell out.
There are lots of hotels nearby. I wouldn't say this is a stand-out, but the rooms are really lovely.
