The Omni is a great choice for downtown Montreal. It is centrally located to many great restaurants and activities. The staff were outstanding: always quick with a greeting and very willing to accommodate my requests. My room was on one of the top floors so I had a wonderful view of Mount Royal. It appeared to be newly renovated, with a beautiful bathroom and plenty of space. I also appreciated the extra touch of having a turn down service at night. Overall a wonderful Omni experience!
I imagine you might be interested in the Omni if you’re either able to write off the expense or pool your resources. Otherwise, even regular rates (standard room, no extras) can exceed $200 per night. Like Hilton Garden Inn, Hotel Omni Mont-Royal has plenty of intriguing packages to choose from, if that tickles your fancy: for example, the Family Fun in Montreal and the Museum of Fine Arts (the first one includes an extra bed to accommodate a child). “Swanky” is the word that comes to mind, and it certainly matches some of the Old Montreal establishments that have good reputations. And from this hotel, you have just a few minutes’ walk to a whack of art galleries (which is what Sherbrooke West is known for). You also have a five-minute walk to McGill University and a ten-minute walk to Concordia University.
Right in the heart of Golden Mile Square, it's unsurprising that Omni would have well decorated rooms, that are spacious, functional and provide plenty of work space for someone in town on business. The rooms are comfortably outfitted with flat screens, large beds and guests will love the views of downtown and Mont Royal. Overall, I think this hotel is best suited to anyone travelling on business or seeking a little bit of luxury.
