The Mona Lisa is pretty cool! It is crazy to think that this painting has been one of the most talked about and studied paintings of the last few centuries. For being so popular and larger than life figuratively, the painting is a lot smaller that I imagined it would be, but still worth a gander and waiting in line to get a look.

I feel like you must see it at least once in your life, but make sure you do this right. Make a beeline here as soon as the Louvre opens or take advantage of one of the nights the Louvre stays open late. Otherwise you’ll be fighting to even get a glimpse of her. I think the painting across from it is even more impressive (pic of it attached).

The Louvre it’s in lisas’s hands... it is just amazing how anyone can think that the Mona Lisa it’s this huge painting when in reality it’s a small thoughtfully painted canvas !!.. regardless of its size ... it’s beautiful

Very interesting, from pictures I had seen I somehow assumed the painting was in a small narrow room but it wasn't all the crowds just make it look that way. It was a big room and full of people for sure but not too tightly packed. I was able to get up to the front and the guards even help people come out the front if they get stuck in all the people clamoring for a shot of the famous painting.

The Mona Lisa is a relatively small unimpressive painting, but it draws a massive crowd every day. So many that the area is roped off with extra guards and it is almost impossible to get more than a partial glimpse of the painting.

When I went to see the Mona Lisa as a child I didn't find the work of art to be anything special, especially in regards to the crowds trying to see the painting at the same time. There are more interesting less well known works of art to see in other French cities.

It is a thrill to see the Mona Lisa before you. However, it can be a challenge to locate and the room can get crowded making it a bit frustrating. Remember, there is plenty of other wonderful art to enjoy here.

It's smaller than everyone thinks, and always super crowded, but you can't go to the Louvre and not see the Mona Lisa.

If you go into the Lourve, you can not see anything, but you must check out the Famous and worldly known Mona Lisa. You can't go that close to the painting, but you can still snap a few pics with it!

There's a thrill that comes from seeing the Mona Lisa, even if you aren't really into art. It's nice to have that moment where you feel like a cultured artist even though you just aren't. If you go to the Louvre, you can't miss it. Find it on the map and go, so that you don't just miss out because the museum is so enormous that there's too much to see.

As one of most iconic paintings in the Louvre it seems much smaller than one would expect. The crowds make it difficult to get a uninterrupted view of the masterpiece.

Oye. This is definitely a "check the box" experience. Go, if you must, but be prepared that you won't get anywhere near the painting, and hundreds of other tourists will be taking selfies from 15' back. My vote would be to skip that and go see the other 1000s of treasures, including the awesome Napoleon's Apartments.

Okay, the Mona Lisa may be an amazing piece of art and world famous. But there's always such a huge crowd in front of it and it's definitely not much fun to get squashed here.

When visiting the Louvre, you have to see the Mona Lisa. It has inspired many stories, a couple robberies and countless artists. Sure, it's a hassle to elbow your way to get a good view, but that's better than coming home and telling countless people you missed out!

It's the most famous painting in the world. So it has very high security and you can't go right up to it either. You couldn't initially anyways as the crowd to see it up close is absolutely ridiculous! It makes you realise how much you hate other people, but nevertheless, it is an experience seeing the painting and will be one to remember. Also it's a lot smaller than you think too!!

One of the world's most famous paintings. It is certainly a masterpiece, though perhaps a bit overhyped. It is always surrounded by a crowd of tourists, and a giant glass box, so it is hard to really look and enjoy this piece of art. Take a quick look so you can say you saw it and move on to other less famous exhibits in the Louvre
