Ho prenotato una camera in questo hotel tramite http://Priceline.com. Per $ 125 Sono rimasto molto impressionato da quello che ho ottenuto con l'hotel e la camera. Il posto dall'esterno sembra piuttosto vecchio, ma dentro, mi è piaciuto molto quello che ho visto. Mentre la camera era relativamente piccola, c'erano buone viste e con mia sorpresa, un televisore nella stanza da bagno. Va bene così la qualità sul televisore non era così grande, ma è un buon tentativo sul loro fine di creare servizi. Ho anche vagato giù al bar durante la serata ed è stata trattata per alcuni davvero grande canto jazz dai loro interpreti per la sera. La zona bar è molto ben curato e di solito non sono che molte persone (come ci sono club vicini con un sacco di attività più vivace). Io in realtà avuto un ballo pre-party qui ed è stato bello avere un posto per dormire dopo ore, quando il mattino del stanno davvero prendendo un pedaggio sulle vostre palpebre. L'hotel ha un aspetto splendido e IMO sembra più di classe in un aspetto storico classico rispetto al Fairmont praticamente accanto. Amo la hall, il bar della hall, ed è un buon casuale appendere fuori anche se non alloggiate in albergo. Le camere potrebbe essere vecchio a meno che non si ottiene un aggiornamento, le suite sulla parte superiore hanno una splendida vista non solo la città, ma un po 'al di là dal centro di San Jose non è la patria di molti grattacieli. Nice hotel with some good amenities. The rooms are quieter than I expected considering it's location is on a busy street. Many dining options are within walking distance.

This building has a long history -- the hotel was made famous by the jazz era and I'm glad the new owners have maintained characteristics as a nod to its history. It was renovated a couple years ago before Destination Hotels took over. Their spot is perfect -- it's walking distance to San Pedro Square, which has a farmers market Friday mornings and whose street is lined with restaurants. It's a short walk to the rest of downtown and you can enjoy the SJ Art Walk the first Friday of every month. There are a number of small museums, art galleries, and lots of different cuisines to explore.

The room was cozy with a large TV in the king bedroom; the bathroom was quite modern and bright although there's no bathtub, only a shower.

There's a restaurant attached to the hotel (La Pastaia) and a lounge (Hedley Club). Definitely check the website for Hedley Club's evening events. They have regular jazz nights. On the night I was there, it was Latin American night with lots of people going in to salsa dance to a live band. If you're staying at the hotel, present your room key and you get in without the cover charge. On the wall of the Hedley Club is a smaller version of the Diva Diver mural that's outside the hotel. It was a piece of artwork that was created when the hotel had a heated pool.

Very well maintained hotel and lounge. Everything looks upscale and elegant. I would definitely recommend the desserts and music in their lounge.

I don't know about the hotel, I just had to stop for this gorgeous mural. They seem to popping up downtown.
