Bioluminescent Bay

Se non vedi la baia bioluminescente durante il vostro tempo a Vieques, allora si sta perdendo. E 'uno dei più brillanti nei Caraibi. L'esperienza è surreale. Consiglio di andare con un fornitore di giro che ha kayak fondo aperto per l'ultima esperienza!

Durante il mio tempo a Puerto Rico ho avuto modo di sperimentare una delle più belle eventi naturali in tutto il mondo, bioluminescenza. Per chi viaggia qui mi raccomando la creazione di un viaggio per vedere le acque si accendono come si kayak. Credimi, non è necessaria alcuna esperienza in kayak (non avevo mai fumante fluire prima)

Visitato Vieques e anche la Fajardo Bioluminescent Bay dal tour in kayak ed è un must quando si arriva a Fajardo. Visitare entrambe le baie durante il vostro soggiorno a Fajardo. Questa esperienza è davvero magica!

Questo è un must-see a Vieques! E 'il miglior baia di bio nel mondo (così dicono) e mentre non è brillante come raffigurato su Internet, è ancora uno spettacolo incredibile da vedere. Ho avuto modo di vedere un raggio bagliore pungiglione in acqua e molti pesci incandescente pure. Sembrava una scena di "Vita di Pi" tranne che invece di una megattera era una pastinaca e invece di saltare fuori dal mare aperto era nuotare nella baia. Sono andato in un tour in kayak con di Abe Snorkeling & Bay Tours, che non è nemmeno vicino a un 5 stelle esperienza, ma questo è del tutto un'altra recensione. Consiglio vivamente la Bio Bay e vale la pena prendere il traghetto per Vieques!

Siamo andati con East Island Excursions per questa avventura. Li amo. Se si dovesse andare a Porto Rico, non si può perdere la Bio Bay. Sono qui per dirvi che le foto non rendono giustizia. E 'stata una delle cose più incredibili che abbia mai visto in vita mia. Ho imparato così tanto e ogni singola persona nella nostra famiglia che è andato (11 persone) è piaciuto. Vorrei farlo di nuovo in un baleno. E ancora e ancora.

Ci sono solo una manciata di luoghi nel mondo che ha questo fenomeno naturale dove plancton microscopiche in acqua calda illumina quando agitati. Così kayak in uno di questi corpi sorprendenti di acqua entra in gioco ed è un deve fare quando a Puerto Rico. Che esperienza incredibile in kayak in quasi buio, ma con ogni colpo di pagaia, le acque intorno a voi scintille. Un pesce occasionale sarebbe nuotare da e si può vedere una scia di sparklies in acqua. Nessuna vera abilità kayak è necessario, solo un senso di avventura. La baia è poco profonda e l'acqua è calda, ma l'esperienza è memorabile e semplicemente stupefacente. Ho la sensazione che la foresta incandescente nel film Avatar ha preso spunto da questi incredibili bagliore nel buio microrganismi.

The Bay Bioluminescent a Vieques è una delle cose più sorprendenti della natura abbia mai creato. I dinoflagellati bagliore con ogni disturbo - Whitecaps, pesce, le mani, le barche - tutto. Tutta la baia è illuminato da piccole luci scintillanti. Andando in un kayak chiaro è il migliore, ma una barca più grande o non - kayak chiaro è anche un'esperienza incredibile. This was awesome! If you have ever seen the movie avatar it is something similar to that. It's so hard to describe but it is absolutely beautiful! A must see.

One of the very few Bio Luminescent waters left in the world. A must see for those that seek once in a lifetime adventures. Kayak on poly carbonate clear bottom kayaks and watch the water light up as you paddle across the bay. Stick your hand in the water and watch it glow as you move it. The sea life below will create streaks of light like lighteneing. This is not to be missed while visiting Vieques.

The "Bio-Bay" is unique in the world for its brightness and beautiful qualities. Your evenings become magical with a tour, kayak, or swim here.

Vieques has one of the best bioluminescent bays in the world. Travelers come from all over the world to see this awesome display of nature.

Only a handful of these bioluminescent bays in the whole country. Definitely put this on your list!

It's as amazing as everyone says it is. A certain kind of plankton are more concentrated in the bay than anywhere else in the world. When disturbed, they glow creating an effect that almost seems out of this world. I would recommend the Kayak tour- way better than the boat tour because you can actually touch the water. They do not allow people to swim in the bay anymore but it's still unbelievably amazing.

Fun fact: When the Spanish first landed in the Bio Bay- they were convinced the glowing was the work of the devil so they dropped boulders at the opening to try to keep people out, which only created more planton in the waters and increased it's effect.

Bio-luminescent Bay is an absolutely amazing site to behold on dark nights. The glowing phenomena here is caused when tiny micro-organisms are disturbed, leaving a blue tint to the water. Kayak tours of this area proceed regularly, and there are several hotels around the bay if you'd like to center your vacation around here. In fact, as far as bays with noticeable populations of glowing microorganisms go, Bioluminescent Bay may be the brightest. This is thanks to a variety of natural factors, but also large part to the early Spanish explorers, who upon witnessing this spectacle, attempted to block the bay off from the ocean so to stop this "work of the devil." They only succeeded in making the area even better for their feared producers of light to continue to put on an amazing natural show.
