Cozy and familiar Casa Colores :)

In Casa Colores you will feel like home! Me and my boyfriend were planning to stay there 3 nights and and we stayed 5! Mateus is really friendly and helped us with everything. He is owner for 2 months and did everything for us to be confortable. We even cook together the first “asado” that we ate in Argentina! The place is beautiful, outside it has an amazing view of the mountains!
I totally recomend it!

Recommended

Casa Colores was well-located, clean and comfortable.
The price is appropriate for what you get.
The owner of the house is a lovely lady with which you can talk a lot about Argentinian culture.
I would sure go back at anytime!

Colours at the Colores

Slightly away from the town centre, this guest house is very peaceful (and peace is at a premium in Argentina which is no stranger to loud traffic). A nice informal atmosphere; there is a collection of CDs by local musicians to be enjoyed on the relaxing sofa. The management are helpful and efficient. The bathroom could do with improvements but at these prices you can't complain.

Good place, friendly and cosy, but needs another bathroom

Stayed in a spacious and colourful double room for 80 Pesos (for the room). It was all very clean and there was a TV and comfy sofa with DVDs to watch (free). There was free internet but only one PC and very slow so wouldn´t count on it!
The manager was friendly (Maria), as was the dog, Tinku, once he knew you! He has a big bark for a little dog and acted as the security system, waking up the manager if necessary! (We are not dog-lovers though... and yet this one was fine and didn´t get in the way or jump up!).
The bathroom was clean but there was only one - with only 4 people staying this wasn´t a problem but there were plenty of other unoccupied beds so it might not be enough when the place is fuller.
On the negative side, there were no curtains on our window - it faced the back and we never saw anyone out there but still, I hid to get changed! The location was a bit out of town and through a patch of land which was dark at night - not the best if you´re on your own & I carried a torch. The breakfast wasn´t good either - dodgy coffee and cold toast - we ate in town for very little though.

A wonderful place of colours....

One of the most welcome places to stay in Argentina: cute dog, a wonderful hostess with a breadth of knowledge and guidance for the local area and beyond, good breakfasts, cheap rooms and all surrounded by beautiful scenery. You'll come for a day or two and end up staying for weeks.
Talk to Maria for recommendation for places to eat too.
