Perfect place for a city stay

We had a wonderful two day staycation at the Oval Hotel for my husband's 70th birthday. From the moment we arrived, checked into the hotel and then made our way to our suite, I knew were in for an fabulous stay. The view of the cathedral and the city was amazing, the room with the separate lounge and dining are and spacious bathroom and the very comfortable bed and luxurious pillows, all made for an unforgettable stay. We dined in the restaurant for one night, with a perfect view of Adelaide Oval at night. We will stay again, maybe when a Crows game is on! Highly recommend!

Fabulous Adelaide hotel

My husband and I really enjoyed our three night stay at The Oval. We were welcomed with a glass of wine in the lobby. Our room (624) was a Parkland King and was on the top floor with a great view of the cathedral
The room was a good size and the bed was super comfortable and very plush. There was a kettle, T2 teas and a Nespresso pod machine
Breakfast was well organised and the menu was large. The dining room overlooks the stadium
We had meals at the bar and they were very good. There’s a wide range of local wines by the glass too
If we go back to Adelaide we would be happy to stay at the Oval again

Value for money

Great location away from the city hustle but close enough to walk everywhere, or jump on the city loop bus. Loved the room layout, and beautiful view. Bit of fun having auto-opening curtain when entering the room - made us feel a bit fancy! Mattress a little too soft for us, but great quality & comfortable pillows. Bathroom amenities & rainfall shower excellent. In-room dining was delicious. Only disappointment was the coffee on offer in the hotel and at the Cafe - but admittedly we are coffee snobs! Friendly & helpful staff. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Oval again.

Honest review of the footy package

The Footy Package, valet parking, complementary drink on arrival, Room, football ticket, and breakfast. Valet staff, very welcoming and explained parking during the event.
Check in process was very quick, and nothing was explained, even though we were asked if it was our first time staying at the hotel. She was pleasant but not very welcoming.
The room was lovely, the issues we experienced was there was no milk in the fridge and there was no coffee sachets, only pods which had no way to identify what colour was what, and then one sachet of sugar? Evidently not restocked. Yet all the items for sale were there. We Tried the coffee machine in the foyer, it was in need of a good clean, it spat coffee out and then the milk that was in the latte was chunky, I poured it down the drain. Sad really, I don’t drink alcohol so I love my coffee. The other issue was the lock door that allows you entry into that wing, made clicking noises that echoed into our room, kept me from sleeping well, I would request to be far away from that door next stay.
Footy tickets in the Western Stand, Great view, level 3. Happy with seating, although it would be good to say to people to stay in your located seats.
The bed was comfy, and great pillows. Bathroom was lovely and the rooms iPad is a great idea.
The breakfast in the BestSpoke bar was Devine, staff friendly and efficient, really enjoyed the breakfast.
I hope to stay again, obviously in a different room.

In the centre of the action

The AFL package experience was incredible! We were in the heart of Adelaide. Wonderful, helpful staff, very private quiet room, at the same time just a beat away from the action yet.
