Excellent coffee, good service .
Another great place for lunch and coffee . Staff are friendly and helpful . Coffee is good . It does get a bit busy at times , especially at weekends when there are events going on in the city . Seating is in a small arcade like entrance to the hotel .

False accusations.
The room was dirty like it had not been cleaned in days. My kids we sneezing and coughing. Asked them to come and vacuum the room. I don't smoke or drink but after checkout they planted a cigarette in my room then charged me smoking in the room. Even if I smoke, how can I smoke with kids in the room. Tried to contact the manager several times but they were either on another call or in a meeting. I tried contacting them more than 4 times to dispute the charge and still got charged. It is very dirty and if you request a clean, they will find something to charge you because you simply asked for a basic clean.

Think again
Lovely hotel with old charm excellent location right in the city and that’s where the positive stop. TV offered only Foxtel with no subscription so basically nothing is available. Wi-Fi was poor. Parking was offsite but close. Parked in Uptown car park in the area marked Royal Albert Hotel total cost for 22 hours was $84.

Can do better
Was in room 208, one of the worst hotel experiences. Aircon had 2 settings “freezing or off”, shower had zero water pressure and had 2 temp settings “boiling hot or freezing cold”, shower had tiles missing and a lot of mould. Other reviews are good I must have got the dud room.

Didappointing
Great room, so spacious, lovely furnishings, from a bygone era. The negatives did kind of take over. The WiFi was non existent - we were told they are looking at upgrading, some rooms are great, others bad. Ours was terrible. There were multiple ones to connect to with instructions to connect to the one with strongest signal to no avail.
Free toiletries....one would have thought body wash would be included, but no, just as well we had our own shampoo to use. After buying body wash we received some on day 2 after having purchased some.
Tea and coffee....use two coffee, 2 replaced, use the milk, none replaced.
This morning we advised a wall light in bathroom was out and either bathroom plug hole or pipe was leaking. Tonight nothing has changed.
Especially asked for milk .. for the coffee, but none.
With my genius discount this place was great value, but disappointing.
Not that we wanted it, but most mini-bar items weren't available.... your pick .. crisps or water.
