What an amazing view from the roof top pool
So we stayed over the Australia Day long weekend first time staying in Brisbane so our expectations were high
As I step foot into the property I was in an aww which was a great start. Down fall I was waiting over 20mins before I was greeted. There were other people waiting as well so this was not a great start.
Once everything was sorted we did how ever request an early check in which was done but only by half an hour but it is what it is. I also requested parking which was a bonus but pricey at the same time. $45 to be exact. Now location wise it is hard to find but I’m not from the area but we found it in the end.
We stayed in a 2 bed apartment on the 34th floor and let me tell you. 100% amazing the view of the city was beautiful. Had plenty of space for our little family. Wifi was included and easy to connect to. And everything worked perfectly.
Now the highlight of this building was the roof top pool and the amazing view of the river and city. Which was what made me book this place to begin with. My daughter loves this part the most and used it the best to her ability.
Now this is nothing to do with the building I will point out that there is no food/restaurants in walking distance. Uber is an option but if you want to walk around you won’t find much. There is a metro/woolworths 5min walk so that is definitely handy.
Would I stay again yes! Definitely recommend it nice and central location to train station and wharfs as public transport is only 50cents per person per trip.

Lovely room, unfriendly staff.
The hotel is lovely. The room was perfect with a comfy bed. The pool on the roof is amazing.
The reception ladies are arrogant though. I had trouble getting into the building due to a code fault and they literally stood there watching me through the doors. Once I eventually got in (from someone leaving the building) I informed them about the fault and they proceeded to me that I was doing it wrong. Considering I was doing it correctly, that’s pretty rude.
My friend later came to visit and she also commented (prior to my telling her what had happened with my lack of access to the building) that she also felt the reception ladies were ‘not friendly at all’.

Mixed emotions
I recently stayed here and came away with mixed feelings. The apartment itself was lovely – cosy, with a stunning view, excellent amenities, reliable WiFi, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in while travelling. The location is also fantastic and makes it easy to explore Brisbane.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that impacted our stay. The apartment could have been cleaner on arrival, and there were extensive cleaning instructions for guests before departure, which felt excessive. One of the three lifts was out of service for the entirety of our stay, causing significant delays. I estimate we spent close to two hours in total waiting for lifts, which became incredibly frustrating and should have been treated as a priority repair.
The customer service was also disappointing. We advised staff in advance that we would be arriving at 10:15pm and even called an hour beforehand to reconfirm. Despite this, when we arrived the staff member had gone to the shop, leaving us waiting around to check in. Staff interactions throughout our stay generally weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful.
On our first night, a fire alarm sounded at 12:30am, requiring everyone to evacuate down 35 flights of stairs. During this time, there appeared to be no staff present to assist or provide information, which was concerning.
The rooftop pool area is beautiful, although the heated pool didn’t feel heated at all. The atmosphere around the pool was also inconsistent – there seemed to be a mix of party groups and young teenagers creating noise, while some parents allowed children to run wild unsupervised. Personally, I think the rooftop pool area would benefit from adult-only hours or stricter supervision.
Another frustration was the BBQ facilities. We were told BBQs could be hired for $40, so we bought food specifically to use them. However, when we went to book one, we were informed that someone else had the keys and that only day staff could issue them, meaning we couldn’t use the BBQs at all that evening. It seemed like a very odd system. A cleaning deposit is also required, yet no cleaning supplies were provided.
Overall, Spire Residences has a lot going for it: beautiful rooms, great views, comfortable beds, good amenities, and an excellent location. However, the lift issues, inconsistent customer service, lack of organisation, and management of shared facilities significantly affected our experience. If those issues were addressed, I would happily return, but for now I feel the property isn’t quite living up to its potential.

I like location and the amenities of this accom. It is more like service apartment so full on facilities including proper kitchen, laundry, couch, balcony for fresh air. Great infinity pool on rooftop with parking. Just note not a hotel so do have to clean up after yourself in kitchen and also bins. But everything u get completely offsets that for me. Depends what you like

Great Service, Views & Staff
I recently stayed at Spire Residences by CLLIX and had a fantastic experience. The level of service and care really stood out, especially thanks to Bradley. From an early check-in to throughout our stay, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and was always checking in to see how he could elevate our experience. Truly exceptional hospitality highly recommend staying here!
