A home away from home
Hands down the best hostel experience. The hostel gives you a community of people straight away, making you feel settled in Melbourne really quickly. The house itself gives a comfortable and friendly feel, with Matt the manager and the LP team putting so much into keeping it clean and a vibrant place to live. Met some brilliant people here and couldn't have asked for a better two months in Melbourne. Thank you LP!

Great clean hostel with friendly people and location right by the tram!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hostel for almost 4 months! It became our home for our time in Melbourne. The hostel was great and really felt more like a sharehouse than a hostel which is a big reason why we stayed at long as we did! They clean the hostel every day so it is always very clean, the kitchen, bathrooms, showers etc. The kitchen had all you needed and felt like an apartment because sometimes you were lucky and had it to yourself! They have two stove tops, an oven, toaster, microwave, blender, kettle, fridge, freezer! They always had events going on with movie night Monday and Family dinner on Wednesdays which was always nice to join in on when you're around! The location is right near the tram which makes it easy to go to the CBD about a half hour tram journey. It's right around the corner from Dejour jeans which is must stop! The gym hammer house was a couple blocks down on Sydney road which was great for backpackers. Overall had a great stay and met some really friendly people! Would definitely recommend.
I do have to note they clean the kitchen in the mornings so they close it so as long the the time is the same time every morning just be sure to avoid it during those times. As well the shower head upstairs in one of the bathrooms works but it could be upgraded!

Super dope staff and vibe
Brunswick is a super dope neighborhood and this hostel has a lot of long-termers for good reason: the culture of the house is amazing. The staff makes you feel looked after while keeping up the relaxed atmosphere (shoutout Ahad and Kelly). Some of them live there while working, it's that cool. Family dinners and events are dope.

Good for long-term guests
Landing Pads is in Brunswick, right on the tram line to the city.It's in Blythe Street, very easy to find. Landing Pads is a home away from home for long-term guests, including working holiday-makers. Landing Pads is clean and tidy, Dorms are mixed, or single sex male and female dorms. The guests are from many countries.. The management aims to maintain a non-threatening environment. Facilities include free wi-fi. Our small working hostel does aim to create a clean SAFE environment which includes live-in staff as well as hostel policies to maintain being a respectful accommodation for all guests. Best hostel in Melbourne!
Booked for a week, stayed for over 6 months! The hostel is more like a large, long-term sharehouse, only 27 people. Everyone becomes really close, I met some of my best friends here! The house is clean, comfy and has plenty of space for people to be playing cards/watching a movie etc. in different areas of the house. Lots of house activities; the whiteboard has stuff on it every week for people to do as a group or suggestions for first-timers. The manager, Matt, is great and will go out of his way to make sure your stay is awesome. When Matt's not around there are 3-4 live-in house captains who can help with anything you need. The house is in the perfect location, Brunswick is a cool suburb full of cafes/bars and only a 20min tram to the CBD :) And there is Toby the house cat for any snuggles you may require. Can not recommend this place enough - if there is availability, book now!!

Hey Sam thanks for your review and apologise for the late reply (better 6 years than never!) Since your review we have grown and renovated Landing Pads Brunswick, upgrading to be a 40 bed hostel. Unfortunately this means Toby now lives off-site with the manager Matt. While we maintain the cleanliness, safety and dynamism of the hostel space, even more so now, we have further developed our daily activities and events, making them an integral part of the culture and great opportunity for guests to bond!
