Overnight stay in a spa cabin at Glen Villa Resort. Basic accommodation but the spa was a great extra, and the location was perfect. Very quiet but less than 10 minutes walk into town.
Downside - Comms not great (WiFi poor and mobile signal patchy). And a hairdryer would’ve been useful.

AVOID!!! Horrible campsite

I wish I’d read the reviews before staying here! The toilets and showers were filthy, and the whole place had a strange, prison-like atmosphere with strict rules and warning signs everywhere. The unpowered sites are basically just car parking spaces lined up side by side, offering no privacy or room at all.
To make matters worse, they’re charging $15 for sanitary pads that retail for around $3. Profiting off essentials like that is completely unreasonable!!

The room was not properly cleaned and, in all likelihood, had not been for some time. Shards of broken glass were scattered around on the floor, shower cubicle was very slippery as had not been properly cleaned beyond a cursory wipe-over. Somehow the front desk staff were critical of US for not notifying them earlier - not a very friendly or empathetic response.

The worst experiences ever ! Dirty sheets, strobing light, toilet running, cup filthy & more. Nightmare experience

So many things wrong with this venue. The worst was attempting to go to bed at 11pm to find I had used unclean linen on the bed with someones blood on it. No spare sheets to change and unable to sleep toilet was constantly running, fluro light half blown out and strobing. I checked out the first thing in the morning. Unhygienic and unacceptable.
