The pool did have a strong chlorine smell which I did not like this can be improvement and made more natural options with less chlorine.
The food at Novotel was ok pricy with small portions outdoors better options

Aiming for luxury experience but missing the mark atm.
However, arriving via car, the car park entry is not easy to find, you have to enter via moore st and it is just after the bus terminal exit. The instructions on entering and leaving the carpark need to be more explicit.
The room has a strange layout with the mini bar in the upboard which is opposite the toilet sink. The bed was comfortable, however some of the services were lacking. The pool towels were hard to come by and the spa needed to be warmer. The poil area once had a sauna that has now been discontinued.
The restuarant on level two is well appointed and serves delicous food a d a range if cocktails and other drinks. However there were NO vegan options and very limited vegetarian or gluten free options.

Not Great
I upgraded my stay to include discounted breakfasts which wasn’t added to my booking. After checking with check in staff I was told this upgrade would be added to my stay, however, on check out I was charged full price.
Hot water in 1 room was lukewarm, sauna was non operational.
Carparking was a joke, with on street or offsite 4 blocks away generally the only option( great when temp below zero), after 3pm.
As a gold and explorer paid member, I would expect far better service than I have received, like I’m use to at other Accor properties.

We had to park at the overflow car park and carry our luggage quite a distance to the hotel as there was no availability in the front reception area to drop off our luggage.
I had 2 small children and ended up needing to go via the stairs down 2 flights as the lifts were taking longer than 15mins to arrive when we needed to check out.
The fire alarm went off at 3am and we were told to await further response regarding evacuation but did not receive further response yet the fire brigade arrived and I believe there was a fire - my children would not go back to sleep as they were waiting for a further announcement to confirm no evacuation required which never came.
