Dogs and grandkids life.

Lovely spot on creek. We booked a powered site for caravan, creek is tidal and is very clean and sandy for small kids. You can walk it to the beach. Is little run down and in need of maintenance but we are self maintained so didn’t need to use anything in park, but for price you cannot complain. Did have a big kitchen area in middle. Dogs and fires allowed. Run by back packers but is very quiet park. Reception girls very friendly and helpful if needed. We liked that much that booked for this new year again.

Rustic charm, worth a visit.

Last minute booking, very accommodating with a powered site however no water available on our site but other van sites had water. Site was big enough for our 15ft van. Combined park with a surf school, lots of backpackers and families camped. Beach access is simple and beautiful. The estuary needed a good flush so kayaking was a bit stinky and tricky to navigate. Amenities were okay, mostly unisex and mostly clean, could do with a few more showers.

Terrible

Pictures on website are nothing like what the park and accommodation are really like. Family couldn’t relax due to the constant house music pumping at all hours and drink behaviour of the surf school and those that run it. Can’t even relax and swim safely at the beach as the surf school takes over the beach.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE unless you are backpacker looking for a good time!

Location Location

My partner and our dog Salty stayed over 2024/2025 New Year and had an absolute enjoyable time. This is our 2nd time camping creekside with a powered site. The sites are large and some are shaded with large trees.
We surfed, swam, beach walked to Corindi each morning, used the SUPS to paddle up the creek and floated in the creek.
Yes it's true the place is rustic. What does that mean? It means go and enjoy the natural environment around you. If you like concrete prison camp grounds this is not the place for you. Yes there are backpackers at the surf school. We rarely saw them or heard them expect when they went out to surf. Yes the amenities are dated. Perhaps a mop could be place inside the bathrooms so after showering the floors could be mopped. I can't comment on the cabins but from what I saw you can't complain about the view.
What we love about the place is the location, surfing, fires allowed, beautiful outlook, friendly staff and long term residents that were happy to share their home with us and their mud crabs.
It's so refreshing to find a place that goes back to the basic and focuses on the nature around them. We will continue to visit and respect this beautiful place.

We will be back

Stayed in our own van with power & water $55 p/n...Peaceful quiet place that needs a bit of an update in amenities . Friendly people & close to beach ..10.minutes to Woolgoolga . Didnt know it was a back packers surf school so felt like the grandparents visitting
