Family style out of town resort

Fabulous find! The resort is located at Lee Point, around 19kms from the CBD. It's a rather large resort made up of motel style rooms, apartments and pool villas. Two pools, a fabulous onsite restaurant (shout out to the even more fabulous staff), laundry room, parking etc. Monday to Friday the restaurant has $20 specials and the food was really good. Twin deluxe rooms were really generous in size and consisted of a queen bed and a single bed, bathroom, small lounge, generous desk area, small dining table plus two chairs, microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster. Rooms are serviced (beds made and fresh towels) daily. Reception staff friendly and accommodating. You'll need a car if you want to explore the area as shopping centres are not within walking distance. Upstairs rooms share a generous balcony but everyone stayed within their "space" We stayed a week and absolutely loved it and will certainly return again! Tip: Get a pool facing/view room (Gardenia) not a car park or road view

Horror

If you value your life, health, and basic safety, STAY AWAY from this hotel. My recent stay was an absolute nightmare that exposed the property’s total disregard for Australian safety laws and human life.
A severe blackout occurred during the night. The hotel’s response to this crisis was nonexistent:
Complete Isolation: There are NO phones in the rooms to contact the front desk and NO emergency flashlights. I was left stranded in total darkness, unable to communicate with anyone.
Deserted Desk: The receptionist previously mentioned there were 250 guests in the building. Yet, after 21:00, the staff completely abandoned the reception desk. There was no one on-site to assist, direct, or ensure the safety of hundreds of people.
No Emergency/Evacuation Protocol: Despite a massive power outage, no evacuation was initiated, and no safety checks were performed. In the event of a fire or a security threat, everyone in that building would have been trapped.
Denial of Medical Support: To make matters worse, the extreme stress triggered a severe cardiac issue (tachycardia) for me. Because the hotel refused help and had no staff available, I was left fighting for my health in a pitch-black room with absolutely no support.
This is not just poor customer service; it is criminal negligence. Leaving 250 occupants in the dark without any communication system or night staff is a massive violation of the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and local building safety codes.
I am reporting this property to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and local fire authorities immediately. Do not risk your life by booking a room here!

We were just there overnight. Property looked more dated than i expected for the price. Room was clean but i would not spend that amount of money for an extended stay . Not sure how close to the actual beach it was but not reachable by a quick stroll on arrival as it was through a forest trail.

Friendly reception. Room very okay.
Negative: The bathroom light is controlled by an infrared sensor with a long delay, which is annoying at night.
