Modern apartment in Dolphin Quay

The apartments are in Dolphin Quay which was away from the main part of Mandurah, although you could walk across a bridge which cut the walking time down, rather than walking round the road.
The apartment had a lovely comfortable bed, fridge, kettle and TV. There was however no WiFi and my phone did not get data reception while I was staying there. It was very clean and well lit, and there was a comfortable sofa to relax on, as well as the bed. There was also a large wardrobe so plenty of hanging / storage space. The towels were new and fluffy. The bathroom was also quite modern.
Heating was via the air con, which took a few minutes to kick in. There was one major downside apart from the lack of WiFi, and that was the hot water in the bathroom - it took about four minutes of running the water before it heated up. In a country where there is a water shortage, this is a concern, and worried me.
Gaining access was easy as the owner lives in a flat on the premises and was home when I arrived, although I had not been sent instructions on how to get in, just an address.
The view from the room was of flats in a service road behind, so not the best view, but I have no complaints about it.

"The photos are not representative of what is the reality"

The room while clean and in a good location backs onto a back alley with one window, no balcony and the view is of many other apartments looking straight back into your room. The owner said there is only one option that is pay up in cash in full on arrival. He then told us the hot water system will take at least 5 minutes to warm up which is very frustrating and waste of good water.

Comfort and quality at great price

We needed somewhere for a short stay and we're delighted with the Breakwater, accomodation good quality and great bed, bathroom. Not a place for great views but very close to the marina restaurants and walks into Mandurah, half the price of the bigger hotels in the area so save your money stay here and enjoy a meal at a local restaurant with your savings. Definitely stay here again

Not what expected.

By the photo's we had seen were expecting to at least get a balcony to sit on but establishment only has one ,the owner has that.Breakfast no longer an option. Room(for a suite ?)wasn't really that big but was roomy enough apart from the bathroom which was tiny,with water you had to wait for three to four minutes to heat up,I thought we had a water shortage in W.A.Would I stay here again? No,I would prefer to stay somewhere that would live up to what I thought I was paying for.

No reception at all

Arrived on friday afternoon, no one answered the door bell, had to call the owner and wait for ages. His excuse was he mess up our arrival date. This is the only time we see a staff during our whole stay.
Room was new but poorly small. Bed is good, everything was nice inside.
I stayed at a budget room and I can live without their "continental" breakfast (cold toast & orange juice).
We were given tiny bottles of samphoo and soap (1 bottle each). They were only half full, we end up have to buy our own.
