Wonderful authentic country experience from outback Australia

Great hotel in a pretty town. Staff are friendly. Great pool , and three baths to bath at night outside under the stars. Good Bbq and outdoor area which we didn't use. Clean rooms and authentic large country huts , which were like drivers or stockman huts , but are very spacious and had kitchens , and many quirky touches to make it seem Like a country cabin. 30-40 sqm. A Quiet place with pretty surroundings. Kangaroos in the field beside us. Good laundry at the end of our row of units. There's Many room choices too for family or couples and prices varied. The huts were large and between 300-400$ per night in June. Second time here and we will come again , and they have a courtesy van which picked us up from the airport last time we were here. We stayed three nights again. Town was a quiet town but the cafes were busy. Hotel is beside stockmans museum and the Qantas museum.we are at the Italian restaurant which we recommend highly. Really loved our 'Stables' apartment. The kitchen/dining room and bedroom had a lovely period atmosphere and the well-appointed ensuite was great. The whole setting of period 'stable' rooms and cabins was so charming, artfully obscuring their recent creation. We really loved the outdoor artesian heated baths.

Amazing tucked away cute little cottages. Everything you need was there. All cooking and eating utensils. Comfy bed, great A/C if required with lovely little verandah to sit and sip at sunset before dinner. Only downside was wi/fi weak

Quaint little comfortable cabins with seperate bedroom. All cooking facilities supplied.

I have never yet found accomodation that was worth a 10/10. We loved every minute of our stay. Cabin contained everything we could need. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful and friendly! We truly wound down and it was just what we needed. Absolutely loved the ambience. Not at all a try hard pioneer feel. Authentic slab hut but with AC to keep you warm or cool if needed.
So much to do and see in Longreach even if you don’t book the tourist shows. We loved the Qantas museum though.
So good we’ve booked again in 12 months time. 100% recommend.
