Wonderful hotel close but not too close to airport

We left our city hotel early after a poor experience to stay one night before flying home. It was a great experience. Staff all extremely polite and professional. Great check in, lots of help with unusual parking. Room spotless. Room service fantastic. Gorgeous hot rainfall shower. Quiet location, about 10 minutes from airport.

a really comfortable and convenient overnight stay, perfect for an early morning flight.

i stayed at mantra melbourne airport for one night as i had an early flight the next morning, and it was a really nice, clean and comfortable stay. the room was exactly what i needed for a quick overnight stop and the location made getting to the airport nice and easy the next morning.
there honestly wasn’t much to dislike. at reception, they mentioned i had booked a room with two single beds and said they were going to change it to a king room instead, but that didn’t end up happening. it wasn’t a big deal at all though, and everything else about the stay was great.

I would recommend staying here. The stay was so pleasurable the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome to stay there. The rooms were clean and roomy.

We stayed just for the night as we had a very early flight the next morning. Staff were great. Location was super convenient, right by the airport. Airport shuttle was also the reason we booked and very easy to get to the airport. It was a bit noisy so couldn’t sleep all that well and the rooms had a funky almost smoker smell to it (Vegas comes to mind), but we were just there for the night so not a big deal.

Good & bad

Shuttle was timely. The rooms are good. Large comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Friendly service. All you would expect. The big let down was the dinning room. It wasn't busy but it still took staff 15 minutes to take our order and 50 mins for the food to arrive. Lots of other diners had to wait too long as well. The draught beer I was served was flat and when I sent it back they gave me another flat beer. The meal was only o.k. and way overpriced considering its quality and the service. Staff are friendly enough but something isn't working here. Stay at the hotel but eat dinner somewhere else or get take away.
