Lovely stay overall thanks to space and staff

We had a 5 night stay here booked at the last minute because the MÖVENPICK had not told us about the roadworks outside their door so we cancelled…
We had booked the premium 1 bedroom and had a room on the 15th floor with a city views. The welcome was one of the nicest ever as we had told the hotel about our 30th anniversary and they made a fuss of us with sweets and wine. We also got welcome drinks as accor gold.
The room is huge with a comfy bed and full kitchen. We used the oven and dishwasher as well as the laundry facilities. Bathroom functional but a little old fashioned.
Great location in Chinatown with restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
The pool area was ok but the pool was too cold. Hot tub was warm rather than hot.
Aside from the cold pool, only other issues were no cider at the bar and the strange housekeeping policies. We were told that some rates included daily housekeeping but we booked direct with Accor on this site and didn’t see any choice of rates like this… we got one room servicing during out stay. Not sure how you book a rate with daily housekeeping as this doesn’t exist on their own site? Strange.
I was going to remove a star for the cold pool and the housekeeping but their staff were all so lovely that I can’t. They made the trip.
We got a late checkout until 1230pm as gold members which was helpful.

Clean room, friendly staffs. A washing machine is in the room. City location. I will be back for next visit.

Reliable Choice for Every Melbourne Visit

This was our repeat stay (4th time), and once again it reinforced why this has become our default accommodation whenever we visit Melbourne. This trip, our family booked two rooms for 6 nights, and the experience was consistently comfortable and convenient.
The location is excellent, with easy access to Bourke Street Mall, QV, Melbourne Central, Chinatown, and many dining and shopping options. It makes exploring the city effortless, whether you’re travelling with family or on your own. The rooms are also spacious by Melbourne CBD standards, providing plenty of room for families and longer stays. The view of Melbourne CBD from the balcony is amazing!
That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some of the furniture and room finishes are beginning to look a little tired and would benefit from refurbishment. The shower head is fixed and not removable, which could make it challenging to shower younger children.
Overall, this remains one of our preferred places to stay in Melbourne thanks to its unbeatable location, spacious rooms, and reliable comfort. We would happily return again.

Excellent location with very friendly helpful staff. Outside area off our apartment needs a clean up but incredibly spacious and outdoor furniture would be an asset.
We didn't use the bar or eat breakfast so unable to comment. Value for money in Melbourne CBD.
