Great hotel, central to shopping, eateries and a short walk to the river, DFO and the laneways. Affordable price for what you get!

Great location Great Staff
Great Location, Wonderful staff, Rooms very clean and larger than usual city service apartments. A big Thank you to Don for assisting us with our long stay checking , very pleasent , explained everything in detail to us as it was a long stay, I would also like to Thank Madu for helping me to decide on the room selection according to my needs. Service with a wonderful smile.Thank you Cindy for approving my long stay.

Convenient locations, good amenities and frankly & helpful hotel members.

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel is good, within walking distance to nearby restaurants and tourist attractions.

Insensitive and unprofessional - thousands of dollars worth of belongings missing
I stayed at this Oaks property during a housing crisis, having had to suddenly leave my home of 6 years after losing almost everything I owned to theft and destruction.
What little I had with me was hard-won: the daily clothes and jewellery I'd salvaged, cosmetics and grooming products I'd slowly rebuilt, heated hair tools, new Remy hair pieces, a new lingerie collection, my only pair of salvageable heels, my birth certificate, journals, sentimental items, my medication, and food and drink supplies (including spirits and cocktail mixes). Rebuilding these basics — being able to do my hair, wear makeup, dress warmly, feel like myself again — has been slow and difficult given what I've been through.And I saw some of the me I knew coming back well at least in physical appearance.
During my stay, three large bags of my daily-use items and a full suitcase of belongings went missing, along with all our food and liquor. This included my medication, toiletries, clothing, and nearly everything I had left. With no warm clothes remaining and no way to remove my hair piece glue or do my hair and makeup, I'm effectively back to square one.
When I reported this, staff response was inadequate: it took over an hour before anyone attempted to search, they checked only one cupboard, there was no search of storage areas, no review of who had access, no follow-up call, and no meaningful update since.
For a hotel with a basic duty of care over guests' belongings, this was a serious failure — not a minor inconvenience. Losing my medication and the last of what I own, at a time when my ability to earn is already limited, and getting a shrug instead of an investigation, is unacceptable. If you're trusting this hotel with anything you can't afford to lose, don't.
A little humanity added as you go about your work and a real desire to help goes a long way, disappointing and no longer plan to! Stay there nor will I send others here
