Comfortable stay; would return

Stayed here for one night. Upon arrival I was greeted in a friendly manner. This is an older motel, but my Queen room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. (tho' the carpet was a little old and worn). The bathroom was updated and modern, with a good, hot shower; the bed was comfy, and the location was quiet. The motel has a restaurant: a great convenience that saves you heading out again to search for a meal. The food was tasty and fresh, the ambience pleasant, and service polite and friendly. In addition the restaurant has a small but well-stocked bar, which also makes cocktails. In summary, I was satisfied with my stay here, found it to be good value for money, with friendly staff, and would return.

Had a great nights sleep

Great location rooms where great staff were very friendly found the restaurant there a bit expensive other than that great town Naracoorte

Overnight stop

Aged but very clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable, there was little traffic noise even though the motel in on the Riddoch Highway.

Sour taste from extra charges

The accommodation was good, but a charge was put on my credit card after I had left, and I was not advised. I queried it, and was told that I used a bottle of water. I didn't and there wasn't even a bottle to use! I demanded a refund, which was repaid. Because of exchange rates, I still ended up losing very slightly. Also, when I booked the night online, the screen clearly stated "Total AUD 142.00 Includes taxes and fees". When I checked in, an extra 2% was added on. I said at the time that I was surprised to be charged any more than $142.00, and the man said that the bank forces them to charge a credit charge fee. I am not in a position to know international law on this, but I call it sharp practice. Various similar places also charged me during my month in Australia, with a similar excuse, but none charged as much as 2%. It leaves a sour taste. I cannot recommend this establishment, and suggest you look elsewhere. If you do stay there, be prepared to pay more than you agreed!

Booking mistake, but still had to pay

Had a bad experience with my booking. I booked one evening @6.30pm, (with what I thought was a month in advance). However, After a phone call from the receptionist, asking for our checkin time, I realised I had made a mistake and accidentally booked for the same night I made the booking. The receptionist was kind and said she would cancel the booking.
But, The motel still took out money. When I asked them why, I was emailed a response saying I still had to pay for this room because they didn’t get any other bookings for the room, so I had to pay for it. Wow!!!! Within an hour of my accidental booking, I lost $180… be careful when dealing with this motel.
