Pat’s Farm at O’Reillys
Complete kitchen, lovely couple’s bathroom, hot tub, a wonderful wood fire. The “farmers box” option was excellent and very good value. We had lots of food left over.
The working cattle farm environs was exquisite. Lush, classic SE Qld hinterland.
And it’s just a five minute drive from the O’Reillys trail heads for a dozen superb day hikes in the breathtaking Lamington National Park.
But.
Maybe it’s because Pat’s Farm is still a bit new, but the communications are lousy. O’Reillys doesn’t explain how to get there, and “Pat’s Farm” isn’t recognized by Google Maps.
So here’s my PSA: The access road to Pat’s Farm is about 1.5 km before the O’Reillys Retreat (and about 500 m from the Python Rock trail head car park). The turn off is marked by a funky steel sign. It’s easy to find once you’re there.
Be warned. The access track off Lamington National Park Rd is 800m long, dirt, narrow, badly pot-holed, and hard going at night. And once you’re through the farm gate, it gets worse. We managed in a normal car but some drivers would want a 4x4 vehicle. I strongly advise against driving in at night.
Otherwise, we LOVED it.

Yes, we are new so sorting through some minor improvements so appreciate your first hand feedback.
We have had a month of rain (unusual for this time of the year) so our Maintenance team are struggling to keep up with track maintenance. It looks like some clear times ahead so we will beonto it.
So please you enjoyed so many other aspects of your stay. The seclusion is hard to beat!

Restful and rejuvenating
So very peaceful and relaxing.
We walked the Border Walk then had a rest day at the Lost World Spa and then did the Stockyard Creek Walk - all wonderful.
Love having a beautiful breakfast to start the day, old fashioned afternoon tea and lovely choices for dinner.
Such friendly staff who feel like family friends.
Well done O'Reilly's!!
