Disappointed Stay

Disappointing. Run down. Looks like it was once a nice motel but has not been up kept. Beds are hard and sag in the middle, old pillows, the lights in our room kept tripping a switch.
We are staying in a wine region and the staff knew nothing about wines at the bar. There is no snacks or food offerings in the rooms even thought the accommodation is located over 1.5kms from town. Would not recommend, there are better places in Mudgee to stay.

We walked in and were ignored by reception as they carried on their conversation, once finished they served us. The person who served us didn’t tell us about any of the amenities, just room number and go.
Walked into our room and there was a dead spider in the middle of the room, and the ensuite walls/floor were wet.
The breakfast was included we didn’t go again after the first day as the eggs were sloppy, bacon was not cooked and it was cold, the sausage were raw and the fruit looked like it had been out for a week as it was all squished and discoloured….the breakfast looks nothing like the pictures. It definitely wasn’t a buffet, there were no options besides what I have mentioned. The room itself also lacked any sort of charm or ambiance.
It’s right next to the highway and you soon find that out as you hear traffic all day/night.
It’s such a shame as it does look so lovely in its pictures.

Good Location, Limited Guest Services

We stayed at Parklands Resort for three nights and found it to be a comfortable enough base for exploring Mudgee. The location is convenient, being only a short drive from the town centre, and the rooms were clean and suitable for a short stay. The service model took some getting used to. There is no direct phone connection to reception. Instead, guests are asked to communicate via WhatsApp, where responses appear to be automated. If you need additional towels, coat hangers, shower caps, or other basic items, you'll need to make the trip to reception yourself, which can feel a little impersonal and inconvenient.
There was also no housekeeping service during our stay, and the breakfast offering was fairly limited. Overall, the resort was comfortable and met our basic needs, but the guest experience felt quite hands-off. It may suit travellers who are happy with a more self-service style of accommodation.

Great staff, Not so great Food.

We attended Breakfast at 9am, , the quality of the food was not good at all. the tray of eggs looks to have been sitting in the bain-marie from 6am which has dry portions and slimy portions. the bacon had been sitting submerged in its own juices and had the texture of luncheon meat. There were not many options at all and most looked to leftovers from the previous days menu. My wife and i both got sick and suffered stomach cramps from what we did eat. overall the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful but breakfast being the last part of our stay left a very negative impression on us.

Breakfast adequate but not much variety of the hot food. Had to ask for daily Housecleaning to be done.
