Hotel alla moda.

Ho soggiornato per due notti in questo ottimo piccolo hotel. Situato nel vecchio grande magazzino Gowing's e sopra il Teatro Statale in Market Street, è centralmente posizionato e a pochi passi da Hyde Park, Pitt Street Mall, QVB e tutti i punti della città di Sydney. Buone strutture con un'area bar al piano terra e il bar e griglia Gowing's al piano superiore. Bagno e letto enormi, e ho avuto un buon soggiorno riposante!

Ne vale davvero la pena! Il QT di Sydney è un bellissimo hotel antico situato nel CBD di Sydney, accanto al State Theatre. Vicino c'è Pitt St

Un altro grande soggiorno al QT Hotel

Soggiorno incantevole in questo hotel unico. Dall'accoglienza all'ingresso, ai receptionist cordiali e all'esperienza di soggiornare in questo edificio storico, è stato un ottimo soggiorno di due notti. Molto pensiero e flair artistico sono stati dedicati alla decorazione di questo hotel, con cose interessanti da vedere nell'area della reception e in ogni piano. La camera è un po' buia, con le pareti scure, quindi potrebbe risultare un po' scomoda per alcuni, ma la mia camera era spaziosa e ben attrezzata. Sono stata fortunata a ottenere l'offerta con il bonus di denaro da spendere nei loro ristoranti - i pasti erano ottimi. Ottima posizione vicino alla stazione Town Hall e alla linea leggera... e proprio nel cuore del quartiere dello shopping. Posizione eccellente se si partecipa al Sydney Film Festival, poiché il State Theatre è proprio accanto.

Stravagante ma non funzionale

Penso di essere oltre lo stravagante. Il letto era fantastico, il check-in è stato ottimo, ma la stanza mi ha fatto impazzire. Era così buio. Muri marrone scuro e bagno. Illuminazione fioca. Potevo a malapena vedere. Le prese di corrente accanto al letto erano troppo basse e non potevo collegare l'attrezzatura poiché gli armadi erano incassati. La doccia ha versato acqua ovunque e il pavimento era saturo. Non c'era illuminazione sopra lo specchio del bagno. Era irritante e ero pronto a scappare il prima possibile. Mi piaceva quanto fosse divertente, ma era funzionale? Non per me.

Hotel elegante in una posizione imbattibile

Ottimo hotel. Posizione straordinaria, non lontano dalla stazione di Town Hall, dal tram e a una facile passeggiata da Darling Harbour e Chinatown. Arredamento e interni eleganti, come tutti gli hotel QT. Camera spaziosa e il letto era super comodo. Toilette e doccia separate con porte in vetro smerigliato - va bene per noi, ma potrebbe essere imbarazzante per fratelli o amici che soggiornano nella stessa camera. Macchina per il tè T2 e caffè in pod Nespresso in camera con frigorifero. Alcune recensioni menzionavano che la pulizia necessitava di attenzione e, anche se non mi sento a disagio o 'sporco', ho notato cose come le lampade che necessitavano di essere spolverate e le persiane del bagno avevano segni e necessitavano di essere pulite. L'illuminazione nella stanza è scura e suggestiva, il che contribuisce all'atmosfera, ma ha reso difficile la visibilità nell'armadio, con il risultato che un portaborsa è caduto. L'hotel si estende su due vecchi edifici in stile art deco, quindi per arrivare alla hall ho dovuto passare attraverso il ristorante Parlour, prendere l'ascensore e poi, dalla hall, salire le scale per prendere un altro ascensore per la mia camera. Potrebbe essere difficile per le persone anziane o per coloro con mobilità limitata, anche se il personale si è offerto di portare i nostri bagagli. Il parcheggio notturno costava $ 49 al Citigroup Centre in 271 Pitt Street. Costoso, ma questa è Sydney per te! Altri hotel in città stavano chiedendo circa $ 60 a notte. Questo parcheggio era difficile da trovare e, sebbene il personale mi abbia dato indicazioni verbali, una mappa stampata con foto sarebbe stata utile, poiché quando ho chiamato in auto per confermare di essere nel posto giusto, non hanno risposto al telefono. Ritornerei? Assolutamente, aveva un'atmosfera moderna e fresca che si collega alla vita del palazzo del XX secolo, ed è stato un soggiorno piacevole; solo per il prezzo, sarebbe necessaria un po' più di attenzione al servizio e alla pulizia, poi sarà davvero un'esperienza a 5 stelle.
Istruzioni per il parcheggio nel caso possano essere utili:
- dall'ingresso dell'hotel dovrai girare attorno all'isolato
- guida lungo Market Street
- gira a sinistra su Sussex Street
- gira a destra su Bathurst Street
- gira a sinistra su Pitt Street
- l'ingresso è il vialetto di Wilson Parking sulla tua sinistra, prima del cartello dell'Hilton Hotel
- guida fino in fondo, prendi un biglietto, parcheggia
- prendi l'ascensore attraverso il centro commerciale The Galleries e torna a QT
