Small and very nice stay

Again this year a very nice stay with the Schedler family. We've been coming with three families for years. Nice that everyone has their own apartment and we can eat together in the common room. Plus a nice sauna for after skiing!

Nice stay in a beautiful mountain village

Is this a perfect accommodation? No, but neither do I. After all, we are here for a walk and have a dog with us. For us this apartment was very good as it gave the necessary space to all of us. The living space itself is a bit small and dark, but you do have a reasonable terrace. Also the beds and the floor creaked around rather loudly in the parental bedroom. However, everything was clean and well maintained plus you also had some extra things you could use.

wonderful hiking holiday in great accommodation

We had a great stay at the Birkenhof. The landlady is very smart and contributed to an unforgettable holiday. The renovated apartments were very well laid out and had everything you need. We felt very comfortable.

Great accommodation for families

The apartment was clean and adequately equipped for us.
We came with 2 families and got 2 apartments next to each other.
We were completely self-catering. The common room was a big plus for us - with 2 families we could eat together in a relaxed manner and the kids could play together. You have a direct view of the garden, which is generously equipped with play equipment for the kids. Due to renovation work, we couldn't go directly from the common room into the garden - but that didn't bother us and will be possible again after the construction work.
The hostess is very warm, helpful and also gave us tips for hikes with children.
We'd love to come back - next time when the weather is sunny so we can use the grill and the terrace :)

Price/performance not good

The good news first: The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is nice and the kitchen is well equipped. Otherwise we were very disappointed with apartment 1. The living space is very small and cannot be lived in without artificial light at any time of day, the view is only of the neighboring house and the parking lot. Price/performance ratio is poor. We were not greeted/looked after in a very friendly manner either.
