Lovely Apartment. Great Location for Outdoors
• General overview
Whilst we have stayed in many places through mainly Booking.com, we have never booked with AirBnB before so didn't really know what to expect. Turns out its pretty much the same but a different booking platform. (I think I expected to walk into someone's pre-occupied apartment lol.
• The Host
Nihat is a great and polite host who made us feel very welcome.
A lovely contemporary apartment with great views and spacious (for a family of 5) with all the usual amenities. Huge lounge / dining area with a well-equipped kitchenette that also has a dishwasher. If that's not enough living space, there's also a well-constructed chill out area tucked away in the corner.
• Master Bedroom
The Master bedroom is of a good size with a King Size bed and a huge wardrobe.
• Second Bedroom
Contained 2 Double beds and a Sofa that can be utilised as a third bed. What lacks in this bedroom is a wardrobe. This was fine for us though as we were here for 5 nights and my kids just dumped their clothes all over the place (like they do at home anyway lol). But I suspect due to the amount of beds in the bedroom, it is impractical to fit a wardrobe in here. And I am sure given the choice between Wardrobe and having the bed space, jam sure the bed space wins.
• Bathroom
The bathroom is of good size aswell although the shower head lacked the handle to hold it above you when showering and therefore showers had to be taken whilst holding the shower head lol. Towels are provided in the apartment. So you don’t have to bring yours.
• Internet
The very fast internet and easy to connect.
• Heating
The apartment is equipped with floor heating which makes it very warm and comfortable especially in -10 degrees.
• Storage
We were here on our annual Snowboarding holiday and as such, there's a small utility room in the basement for storing your skiing / Snowboarding equipment overnight which is really handy. Although we found that perhaps the use of a soak matt on the floor would help when the equipment is left in the utility room to dry.
• Rubbish
There are different bins located outside the building for separation of rubbish (Bio / Organic, Glass, Plastic/ Cans, Restabfall).
• Location and Parking
My Navi took me to the wrong side of the street where vehicles are prohibited and there is a Barrier (Schrank) ahead. Please be aware that to access this address, you have to approach from EBEN High street. The address (Pöttlergasse 251, Eben im Pongau, 5531) is right next to the Fire Station and off-street parking is available outside the building.
• Local Amenities
The apartment is located directly behind the EBEN High street where there’s local provision stores and shops such as the Spur, a bakery a pharmacy etc.
• Ort Tax
Currently charged at 1.30€ PP/PD for anyone over the age of 15.
Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for home comforts away from home.
