Beautiful location outside of Salzburg

This guest house is worth the drive to stay outside of Salzburg. We enjoyed the view of the mountains from our balcony every evening upon our return from sightseeing in Salzburg. The room and bathroom were very clean and the beds comfortable. We took the bus into Salzburg and back everyday......very easy timetable and just had to walk 5 minutes to our guest house. It was easier to take the bus then to drive and try to find parking for the whole day. They have a small in ground pool which we used every evening. Good selection for breakfast and the owners were friendly and helpful on all levels. In the foyer they had a stocked fridge of beverages, wine, beer, pop, etc. The prices were listed and we wrote down our selection on a daily page taped to the front of the fridge. It was then added to our bill at the end of our stay....nice & convenient.

the worst hotel of the trip, a real insult to Austrian hospitality

absolutely to avoid , wi fi malfunctioning, torn linen, small and dirty room, cobwebs and insects, not even enough breakfast, heated dry bread, no information from the lady who ignored us for the whole stay, not to mention the sauna, accessible through a maze of robevecchie! the balls of Mozart who gave us at the start do not even cover 5% of the discomfort created. Avoid it!!

Nice location, gracious host

We stayed here for 2 nights while taking a quick trip to Salzburg. Easily located out of the city and the location is quiet and serene. There are hiking trails across the road and we hiked pretty far up Nocksteinblick and walked right back to the house. Host is very sweet and breakfast was good, even accommodating with dietary needs. No WiFi on our visit and that was a little bothersome with searching for restaurants and activities in the area.

Lovely, cosy and quiet

We stayed there for four nights. The service is really good, the breakfast delicious and the room, super comfy. Beautiful landscapes, but must wait for the bus to go back and forth from the city centre. There is also a very good sauna. The WI FI is really bad. We had a lovely time.

Comfortable Hotel for Relaxation in Countryside

I must admit that our stay at this hotel was a totally different experience in our entire Europe tour. The Hotel was not in town and that what excited me as I always wanted to stay in lap of nature. The hotel is around 7km from city centre and you certainly need your car to enjoy beauty. The room offered to us was probably the best room they had with wooden furniture, large balcony with beautiful view of mountains. There was a small waterfall nearby hotel, we could not see but could just feel the sound and it was making our stay all the more enjoyable. The place is not at all touristy and owners are very warm and helpful. There is no reception and reception staff so you have to manage by yourself if you arriving late. It did not create any problem though. The breakfast spread was decent and basic. No complains about it. You can easily reach St. Gilean and other lakeside regions on 20 minutes drive and so very convenient. I must recommend this hotel for people who are looking for a peaceful relaxed stay in Salzburg.
The only downside was lack of internet during our 3 days stay. The internet wifi facility was available but never worked in 3 days. I think the owners should work on this as I have read reviews from other travellers too on the same issue.
