So worth it.
How do I sum up perfection? The short version is: we (two adults and three children) stayed here for 12 days over summer, and felt like royalty the whole way through. Every single detail, every single thing was thought out and perfect. Food was amazing, service was impeccable, location is awesome, rooms are spacious and quiet, beds are great, spa/wellness area felt like something you'd pay a premium for, everything is clean and crisp. Professional all the way through, but still kid friendly.
The longer version is that we debated this hotel for weeks. It looked good, and we've stayed nearby before, so we knew the location was great, but it was quite expensive compared to our preferences. In the end we pulled the trigger, hoping it would be worth it. I'm happy to say that it was. There's nothing much I can write that isn't already in the brief above, but right from the start, the service felt unreal. They responded almost immediately to any question, so the people in reception were clearly professional, but did this extend to the rest of the staff? In a word, yes.
We've never tried anything like it. After a few days we stopped ordering coffee (which was excellent!) for breakfast (which was also excellent!), because the waiter learned our habits and anticipated our every need. The same waiter was an extremely knowledgeable wine connoisseur, and while he COULD have recommended the expensive bottles every night, he took one look at us and went for the cheap ones. I don't mean this as a bad thing, nor did we take it as an insult: his intuition was as perfect as his recommendations. While he spoke excellent English, he communicated with me exclusively in German, because I let him know that I wanted to learn. In short, it was the kind of anthropological wizardry that sets excellent waiters apart from just good ones.
Then there was the bar. It's not cheap by any standard, and indeed, the only negative thing I can think of about the entire hotel is the price of a Weißbier. However, prices in Ischgl are high in general, and I need to say that even though the cocktails here are rather expensive, you DO get what you pay for. We had the pleasure of meeting a bartender who was as skilled as he was friendly, and, like the waiter, he sized us up perfectly the first day. From there, he cranked out incredible custom cocktails with whatever he had available that day, including some great mocktails for the kids. Once again, a feeling of belonging, of being "seen", and having the experience automatically tailored to our needs. Incredible.
Then there's all the rest. The fantastic wellness area, and the professional, respectful treatments we got there. The amazing beds, with the "pillow menu" to ensure a perfect match. The Idalpe suite, which was like a full apartment, with plenty of space for our kids and ourselves. The daily roomservice that left the suite looking like we were just checking in, except all our stuff was already there. The hiking guides, offering advice and suggestions based on next day's weather and our abilities. The constantly shifting food menus, the weekly dessert- and starter buffet, the enormous wine list. The way our kids were treated as kids in the best of ways, even in a hotel I wouldn't have thought was very kid-friendly (oh, how wrong I was about that one). The way everyone on staff smiled, and really seemed to enjoy working there. The attention to detail evident in every single part of every interaction we had there.
It was a sad day when we checked out. Hotel Post is not cheap, at least not by our standards, but you get what you pay for. Spending 12 days here felt like a month – and I mean that as a positive thing. We had the best possible base for exploring the valley, and if we ever come back to Ischgl, which we might well want to, we know exactly where we're going. As it stands, it's easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. I don't understand what it'd take for this hotel to be ranked five stars instead of the "4 superior" it currently has, and I can't recommend it enough.

A really special holiday at the Hotel Post Ischgl Austria
Everything about the Hotel Post is excellent , we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it , go and try it for yourselves ! We hope to return in the not too distant future

A little disappointed for the price
Started off well, reception staff quite friendly, lovely suite at the front of the hotel, food in the restaurant excellent, very good wine list. Restaurant staff really good, friendly and efficient. Would avoid a room at the front as there was a party in the hotel bar at the front and they partied until nearly 3 . No aircon so had to close the windows so exceptionally hot. They advertise a Cocktail bar - no cocktails in the summer . No shampoo in the shower just a hand, body, hair shampoo.

We love it.
Beautiful hotel with beautiful renovated rooms , welcome and perfect services, the spa is superb and the aufguss great. The outdoor bar is superb and super well placed; sun and wonderful view. We love going back!

Excellent hotel with tradition
The hotel leaves nothing to be desired. You are warmly welcomed, the luggage is unloaded and the car is parked in the underground garage. Culinary delights are excellent and the hotel has a wide selection of wines. The large spa area with outdoor pool is a dream. Everything is rounded off by very nice, attentive staff.
