Stay with Kumbichl on a skiing vacation

Very good family run hotel, very homelike atmosphere and good support. Great breakfasts to support your energy during while skiing, comfortable rooms, skistorage available, good rates. Good location next to Ahorn lift and close to Penken lift. My daughter and I have been staying with them 3 times (from 2011 - 2013). Undoubtedly will come back if chose Mayrhofen for our next holiday.

A little Gem with fantastic owners!

I stayed here when a relative got married and I was delighted with the place. We arrived pretty late in the evening and from the word go the lady that owned the house could not have been anymore accommodating. We were allocated on the second floor with a view of the mountains and one of the ski slopes that was to die for. From the room you could see the travel cars going up the mountain.
The rooms are a nice size for all the hefty ski gear that comes with you and the rooms are kept fantastically clean. Breakfast every morning was a delightful selection of continental foods that set you up for the day on the slopes.
The morning of the wedding that we were attending the owner was more than helpful to us arranging taxis for us to the hotel where the wedding was being held, ensuring that we were up and ready on time and even sent her well wishes with us to the happy couple. She was absoulutely lovely the whole time we were there asking us about ourselves, where we were from and really engaging.
Buses are available during the day to bring you down to the skiing entrances and there are taxis always available in the evenings to bring you back up.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in Mayrhoffen. Book it and I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Nice, Cozy, Clean, the perfect place to stay!

We just came back from a week stay in this place, and we are already missing the place. A really nice house, staff is very friendly, we had a great spacious room with a balcony, nice shower, the hotel was on a great location, you can ski from the Ahorn piste all the way down into the garage of the hotel, and it's about 5 minutes walk to the PenkenBahn. It's in the center, but away from the noise in the evening. We could park our van just next to the house. Breakfast was also good and everyday we had cookies or chocolates in our room, with christmass we had a little bottle of champagne, just the whole atmosphere is really nice.

Just one word FANTASTIC

This lovely place was more like being invited into someone's home rather than a hotel, I loved it.
Surrounded by beautiful mountains I would have been happy to have just stayed in my room on the balcony looking at the gorgeous view as going up onto the mountains.
The reception we got on arrival was warm and welcoming, the breakfast was a hearty continental with plenty of choice.
The decoration was so cute with love heart mobiles dotted around. This hotel is just as good for families and those looking for a romantic weekend away alike or just a group of friends.
There are plenty of places to eat within a few minutes walk and the ski lift up to the Ahorn mountain is just across the way approx 2 mins - 5 in ski boots.
I can't write a review on Landhaus Kumbichl without mentioning Bridget - The Hostess with the Most!
She was lovely, warm, welcoming, helpful and just amazing not least because she got up early and laid on a breakfast for us as our plane transfer was taking us much earlier than expected, now that's service above and beyond. She even found me a red towel to wash my clown red hair with!
The only suggestion I can make is to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room and to have black tea bags available at breakfast & a mini bar (OK maybe that's taking it a little too far).
But overall an excellent choice of accommodation.

Kurzurlaub

Hier toevallig terecht gekomen.
Niet bekend met Mayrhofen waren wij zeer verrast door dit leuke en gezellige skidorp.
Maar vooral ook verrast door Landhaus Kumbichl.
Zeer smaakvol ingericht en rijk uitgerust goede bedden en mooi sanitair.
Heel aardige gastvrouw.
Super ligging direct bij de Ahornbahn,Centrum en uitgaansgelegenheden.
