Great hiking holiday with friends in a great hotel

We have been several times at the Suithotel Hischegg and will gladly come back .

Great hotel!

We were a bit biased by the negative comments about the boss, but we didn't experience any of that. We were warmly welcomed, he was also friendly to his staff. Brigita, Lisa and Nisveta were very cordial. We had a suite on the south side, very large and with a beautiful view. The room was very clean, some may find it old-fashioned but this is the classic Austrian style. Good beds, separate toilet, good shower (long wait for hot water), 2 lavoirs, large balcony with sun, swimming pool and infrared cabin. And then the food... very special, always a painting and delicious. 2 good chefs. The last 3 days the two of us stayed in the hotel, nice and quiet, and the boss came to have a chat with us during dinner. We even got a gala dinner for the 2 of us! It was our first time in the valley and we were able to take beautiful winter walks. We will definitely go back!

Where to start….
Rooms: very cozy, well maintained. Bathroom quite small
Lobby: Also very nice. There are several cookies and drinks available for free during the day
Room service: quick, very clean!
Restaurant service: the waitress just started her job after years in the room service. She was extremely motivated to give a great service but obviously never enjoyed a training. I would rate her five stars+.
Here is the issue: kitchen is far to slow. Ot takes forever from first to second course and two out of four times, food was almost cold then.
You don’t care about long waiting times in the restaurant: go there! Location is great, it is super clean and most importantly for us: enormously quiet!

Business to make money no courtesy and kindness as other hotels in the area

I lost the my reservation information and contacted the hotel 6 weeks before the planned date asking confirmation that I did the booking with all the detailes.
Never heard back, despite the automatic reply from the website.
I had to pay the cancellation fee. I called to ask why they never replied, I could not show after 900km and found out I did not have a reservation. They told me it was my problem I lost the booking information and they did not want to acknowledge the email I sent.
Not even accepted my offer to share the fee since we both had a problem.
I think they voluntarily didn’t want to answer to my email because they wanted to fish the money.
There are plenty of nice hotels run by good people in the area, I suggest to go for them.

Good food and staff. Nice view. Big rooms. The children had seperate room. The owner is a grumpy man. Ans it is a dated hotel with a swimmingpool in the basement
