Great location ! The building itself is a historical monument.really loved out stay there.

Unplanned stay

We had not originally booked this hotel but were moved when their sister hotel the graben double booked our room & bumped us to this hotel.
Negatives
- the air con / heating did not work
- they only supply 1 pillow per person.
- the towels to dry your body are like hand towels.
- you have to pay for coffee in your room
- breakfast , some of the guests were like animals with the buffet there was not enough buffet for all the guests , especially during the weekend days.
- there is 1 English speaking channel
- a double room is in-fact 2 twin beds
- reception staff are much more attentive to German residents
Positives
The hotel is a 20 min walk from the main town and located pretty close to the U3 underground and a tram station.
There are some nice restaurants close by.

Clean and nice room. AC was a huge plus. Lovely breakfast, plus for lactose free options! Wonderfully looking hotel with many historic details. Correct and attentive staff, polite even if not super friendly.

An older hotel with character and history.
Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. Ate at the Roth restaurant, good food with regional home cooked dishes and cakes.
Great location near transport links.
Would recommend this hotel.

I love this hotel. You can tell the owners love it too. There is a family tree on the wall in the lobby that shows the 4 generations of the family that owns it so it’s a family business. The hotel is beautiful. I was able to get a small room for one with just one small bed. The bathroom is quite tiny so maybe not appropriate for a larger person. Its location is great with just a short walk to most of the main tourist places. There was a small fridge in the room with items you could purchase. Hotel staff was superb.
