Godel apartment was great!
We spent 5 nights in the Godel apartment in September. The apartment was very large with high ceilings. The furniture and bed were comfortable, and there was plenty of light. There was a washing machine in the bathroom and a big drying rack. We brought the rack out onto the balcony to speed up the drying process. The kitchen was fitted with everything you need, fridge, dishwasher, French press, toaster. They even left us some coffee, sugar, and tea bags.
The location was so convenient. Subway was a short walk away. There were many restaurants and shops in walking distance, also some supermarkets.
There was a book in the apartment giving you all the FAQ, that was very helpful.

Godel appartment
We had four nights here early May. The appartment is large, quiet, spotlessly clean, attractively furmished, the bed is large and comfortable, the kitchen is well equiped, the ceilings are high and access is by an old fashioned cage lift that looks like it's from some old thriller film. There is even a small terrace.
The flat is well situated, as town centre is at most twenty minutes' walk, the subway station is quite close and it is also near to a bus that takes you most of the way to the Belvedere Palace. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby, so food and drink was never a problem. It was a pleasure walking round the adjacent streets at night, admiring the beautiful, carefully constructed and illuminated window displays in shops so small and specialised that one wonders how they make a living.
Everything worked fine, from the kitchen appliances, to the heating to the cable TV.
If we return one day to Vienna, this is most definitely where we would stay.

Nice apartment but a number of let-downs
There are actually 3 apartments under the Rosa Linde banner, and this is not made clear enough. The majority of pictures show the more spacious suites, and this is misleading. We stayed in the Godel flat, which is not as impressive as the pictures. It is though in a very good location close to amenities and the underground.
On the first morning (a Monday) we were awakened at 6am by very loud banging and crashing noises which persisted for 20 mins or so. It turned out this was the bin men who have about a dozen bins to empty. The flat looks out over a canyon of a back yard which acts as an echo chamber for the slightest noise.
The noise was more of a problem because we had to keep the balcony door open as the air conditioning didn't work, and the temperature was stifling. Karl kindly came out to try and rectify this, but it failed again straight after he left.
The breakfast vouchers were just for a reduction on a fairly spartan continental breakfast which was overpriced anyway. We found that croissants from the nearby Spar shop were a much better answer.
I couldn't get the 'smart' TV to access internet services, and there were no instructions provided. It was virtually useless to us with all the prompts in German.
Overall I would say that although Sarah in the office below does a good job, this flat suffers from absentee landlordism.

we are very sorry that your expectations were not met. We would like to point out though that our homepage and our booking site shows pictures of all the rooms. This is quite usual. In addition, both sites provide the option to only show the pictures of a specific room. On our homepage this is under "rooms" and on the booking site you see it before you choose a room. There are also detailed descriptions for each room including a figure showing the room layout. The booking confirmation lists the amenities for each room and the meals included in each booking. In fact, we subsidize the breakfast vouchers for guests who would like to buy them. We point out that this will get you a typical, small Viennese (continental) breakfast in a traditional coffee house (which is not easy to find for € 5,50 pP).
There is no reference to a Smart TV in any of our descriptions although there is of course satellite TV and also free WIFI in each room. The noise on Monday morning was due to garbage collection - it is usually no problem with closed windows. We are very sorry that the A/C broke down because of a malfunctioning motor. Unfortunately, we were unable to detect the cause immediately. The A/C was repaired within a few days using a new motor.

Bed and breakfast without breakfast
Hard to write a review: rooms were super clean, spacious, and comfortable. In addition to individual bedroom suites, guests have access to a shared kitchen. The location is excellent - close to everything in Vienna in Neubau, recognized as one of the more affordable districts. The property managers all speak excellent English. They provided a laundry service. We'd give them a 5* rating for the room.
Oh, but. It's advertised and sold as a bed and breakfast, yet there's no breakfast. Big disappointment because the property underdelivered on a clear mandate. The room rate was not discounted. We were offered 20% off vouchers to a nearby restaurant, but there are better value cafes just 25m down the street.
If you're looking for lovely rooms, take it. If you're looking for a bed and breakfast experience, don't.

Comfortable, convenient.
The apartment is quite close to the city centre (20 minutes or so walking) and has, close by, a range of good eating places. We are vegan and found it easy - 50 metres from the front door was a good eating restaurant and by the end of the week we had found quite a number. The nearest Underground station is 5 minutes away which makes travelling around the city really easy - the trains come at 5 minute intervals. The apartment "Freud" is spacious and scrupulously clean, on the third floor of an 'Edwardian' building, served by a lift. The entrance to the building is rather unloved but the apartment and its hallway was immaculate. Our room was cleaned as frequently as we wanted and even wine glasses appeared when our cleaner realised we were using tumblers from the bath-room! The room had a gracious, antique feel, the shower-room a smart, eclectic, modern look. Staying there was a very enjoyable part of a city break.
