A wonderful accommodation at fair prices

A wonderful place to stay and very pet friendly. We will therefore come back to the Dagnhof with our dogs in the future. The hosts are very nice and everything is very professional. Location in the village is great: Near lake and supermarket. Also restaurants all within walking distance.

Accommodation for all occasions

Great, versatile facility. However, the room descriptions on the various portals are poor, so it is not clear whether there is a kitchenette. This is also the case on portals such as booking or check. We were able to rebook on site, great service from Karla, who is always available. Very well maintained, including the wellness facility. All kinds of horse riding options can be booked.

Great riding stable!

I was there with my daughter in the shoulder season and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment would have been a bit small for the whole family but it was perfect for the two of us. The fact that we could turn on the sauna ourselves at any time was great for us. Most of the time we were completely alone in there.
The riding lessons were great and the horses were really sweet.

Summer week at Walchsee

We rented 2 rooms at Reitanlage Dagnhof and we were satisfied with the accomodation. I have not noticed during the reservation that I booked a room and not an appartement, therefore we expected a small kitchen with a fridge for the 3 bed room. Even though there was enough space in the room for a fridge, there wasn't any. Luckily the other room had fridge, so we could store the breakfast salamis at my parents' room. The hotel personnel was friendly, they helped us, brought us water kettle. They cleaned the room every day. The room is good enough, but as it is a horsing place there are too many flies and the windows had to be kept all the time closed, because there were no mosquito net on the balcony door. We tried to kill the flies, but several mornings we were still woken up by them. There is a bakery nearby, they have coffee and excellent bakery products, so breakfast was not a problem. The room is a bit noisy as the main road is very close.

One could expect something more

Well, it wasn't our first visit to Walchsee. In fact, we used to visit Kaiserwinkl region quite regularly since we learned their cross-country skiing offer some 20 years ago. For our winter holidays in Kaiserwinkl we used to rent a holiday apartment either in Walchsee or in Koessen. I think that the number of different places we stayed at during all those years reached 10. Now, when I am trying to make a ranking list of all those places, I would put our apartment at Reitanlage Dagnhof somewhere at the bottom of the list; however, not at the very end of the list (that position is reserved for one place in Durchholzen).
Why do I rate our stay at Reitanlage Dagnhof so low? It wasn’t totally bad, but after watching the Reitanlage Dagnhof offer at the Tiscover.com we simply expected something more. Our first impression after we entered that apartment was quite claustrophobic feeling, as the whole apartment containing the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and the living space was squeezed in roughly 25 sq. meters area. As the entrance to our compact apartment was located close to the staircase, and the distance between our bed and the door was limited just to few steps, we didn’t need the wake-up service at all. The list of kitchen equipment was quite modest, but at least the fridge was OK. Nevertheless, it was warm and dry inside, and the hot water supply was working well, so we managed to survive ;-)
