The views and the food are worth it!
The hotel is on the south of the west coast, which is lively and ideal. We spent a lot of time north of the island because of the seaweed influx that’s taking over the south!
The hotel sits right at the end of the boardwalk, so we enjoyed a daily stroll to the coffee bean coffee shop at the other end of the boardwalk most mornings, and after dinner too.
The views of the hotel are out of this world. We enjoyed having the patio doors slightly open every night so we could enjoy the sounds of the waves going to sleep and waking up.
The biggest stand out to this hotel is the food quality. Every day and night we had sensational food and it really was the biggest highlight.
The only downfalls I think were that the hotel did look a bit tired in places. However, whilst we were there they had people come in to paint the corridors which made a difference. We had a wonky ironing board which was hard work but otherwise our room was ok - very comfy bed. Shower was intermittent hot and cold.
There was only 6 lots of sunbeds hosting a 24 room hotel which was a little annoying - especially as there is a large sitting area of tables and chairs which are hardly in use - this area could happily accommodate another 6 rooms which would be more helpful. I didn’t see many people make use of the sunbeds on the beach area, but some people were forced to when the pool was busy.
The only other thing was some of the staff were not friendly which was a shame, including the management and receptionist’s. It put a bit of a downer on certain days with the rudeness. The other 50% of staff were great though - always a smile on their faces, especially the 2 bar guys.
We wanted a late checkout by a couple of hours.. one receptionist (Linda I think, who was nice, said we should be able to have it to 3pm), however the following day the day receptionist said they were not happy to authorise unless we paid another 120usd. It was very hit and miss as to who you get!
Overall, a lovely stay - and recommend it to anyone wanting a good hotel, but don’t expect any above and beyond service!

The Soco Hotel - Rum Tasting and Experience
A special thank you to Michelle for the rum tasting experience. She crafted delicious cocktails while giving us the full Bajan experience, explaining the different types of rum and making the tasting both fun and informative.
Chef Mitchell exceeded expectations. Every dish was perfectly prepared, and the boil and fry flying fish was absolutely spectacular!
Lastly, a huge thank you to Cassandra and Kim, the sweetest of them all. Your warmth, kindness, and exceptional customer service truly made our stay memorable.
Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to return!
