Quaint little gem!
Eva, the Hotelier, is very proud of what her family has created. The decor is imaginative and the whole experience quaint.
The breakfast offerings are amazing and plentiful.
The hotel is a 20-minute (safe) walk to the lovely Hasselt City.

Terrible nightmare
Because we had to go to an event in the evening we couldn't get ready (read taking a bath/shower - because of lack of hot water), after which we decided to find another accommodation. We reported this to the hotel manager (who turned out to be the daughter of...) and she said that she could not refund us, but that we had to request a refund via Booking, and that they would then approve, after which we left in search of another hotel. The room was booked and pre-paid, could not be cancelled in principle, but due to the fact that the hotel was not able to offer their guests a minimum of comfort, we assumed that refund really would not be a problem.
We submitted a refund request via Booking, but we were informed by booking that the operator refused to refund for 2 days, and that we would still have to pay for 1 day. So we had to pay for 1 night, while we only spent 2 hours in a cold room with our coats on, let alone had breakfast (because we also had to pay for that).
The hotel manager clearly knew in advance that the heating system was not functioning, but under those circumstances received guests while knowing that she could not offer even basic comfort. This is downright perverse.
And if that's not enough, the manager informed booking afterwards that we didn't show up, so there's a no show, and she shouldn't have to pay back, this is downright criminal. The chat history in the booking app, as well as the telephone contact we had with a booking agent prove otherwise.
