Disappointing
In addition, I did not receive a VAT receipt. All in all, this was a disappointing experience, especially considering the price and the service offered.

Never again
Unfortunately this evening had a particularly bad experience.
The meat was tough and very greasy. The meatballs were dry. The sauce was flavored water. In short: a particularly badly prepared vol au vent.
So don't eat there!

Watch out for the bill!
Menu at €59! Appetizer: shrimp croquettes that were quite good. Main course: sole with fries. The sole was drowned in grease, and the fries, which were all brown, looked unappetizing and were inedible; we sent them back. For dessert, we chose a dame blanche as listed on the menu. When it was served, we received a bowl with 2 scoops and hot chocolate, with the suggestion that it was to be shared! Astonished, we began to eat, and when we were almost finished, a second bowl was served to us.
The best for last: For 2 appetizers, 4 glasses of white wine, and 2 menus at €59 each, a bill of €235 was presented to us! After verification and complaint, a correction was made, and the bill was reduced to €184, resulting in a discrepancy of €51.
We certainly will not be returning!
The chef should learn how to make fries, and the dining room manager should not treat customers like fools.

A beautiful hotel in Ostend
The reception at the hotel is very friendly, polyglot or francophone, depending on the person!The receptionists are warm and professional!
The establishment has a brewery on the ground floor, which is of good quality.
The rooms are very nice, well decorated , in a style corresponding to the building and the somewhat outdated character of the resort.
The shopping streets and the House of Ensor are nearby. A very good address: recommend!
