There are cheaper & better alternatives in Cochabamba
Pros:
Lovely hot shower
Reliable wifi with decent speed
Cons:
Breakfast comprises a piece of bread, small glass of juice and a tea/coffee. Served by sullen & mute staff.
Our room was hot and noisy.
Cost 240Bs
The reception staff were friendly but did't know anything about tourist activities in Cochabamba, how to arrange Toro Toro tours or get bus tickets... You are on your own! Don't waste your time at the 'Tourist information office' either!

Great Value in Cochabamba
THe City Hotel is a great value. It is inexpensive but has all the amenities of a more expensive hotel. It is centrally located, clean, the staff is helpful, and they have a good breakfast. They had storage for our luggage, and had a great laundry service. There is some street noise in the front rooms, but on the other hand they have a fun street view.

Great value & location
I really liked this hotel. I paid 170 bolivianos per night for a single room, which was actually a massive double room with own bathroom (with bathtub), tv, a desk and very good wifi.
The breakfast was included, which was unfortunately the same bread & jam with tea/coffee you usually get at hostels, although for extra money you can get eggs as well. I would expect a better breakfast from a hotel, but I love to get saltenas off the street in the morning anyway, so that didn't pose too much of a problem.
The service staff (mostly consisting of seemingly all teenage boys, which put me off at first) was nice and helpful, they let me leave most my luggage in their storage while I went to Torotoro, and that was before I had even checked in.
The location is great, only 2 blocks from the main plaza and right next to the Mercado 25 de Mayo, which is like a little version of the La Cancha market and offers lots of eateries and shopping opportunities.
All in all I found this to be a very good value hotel that was a big step above hostel standards but not much more expensive. :) Definitely recommended!

Der Schein trügt! Die Fotos auf der Webseite versprechen viel Besseres. Die Realität sieht ganz anders aus. Winziges Zimmerchen mit 2 Betten. Wenn man einiges an Gepäck dabei hat, kann man sich darin kaum bewegen. Irgend eine Maschine, die die ganze Nacht riesigen Krach macht (nehme an, eine Wasserpumpe auf dem Dach). Seeehr bescheidens Frühstück. Sehr lärmige (und unsichere) Umgebung. Das Personal ist aber freundlich und hilfsbereit.
