Buenos Aires Teleferico Station is 2.2 km from Paititi Hostel, while Parque Mirador Teleferico Station is 2.3 km from the property. The nearest airport is El Alto International Airport, 3 km from the property. Please inform Paitití Hostel in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. The property is located betwen Echazú and Menacho streets. TAX LAW. Based on local tax laws, Bolivian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Bolivia) must pay an additional fee of 13%. To be exempt from this 13% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee. Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 13% regardless of the length of their stay in Bolivia. Family run small cosy hostel

The hostel is run by father and son who are really helpful guys. It has two dorms, one male and one female and a few rooms. There is a small patio and a big common room. I came with a friend by bike and they were securely stored in a garage upstairs (yes, La Paz is quite steep a city). Although there are not many shops in the vicinity there are enough to buy staples and a big market is just 10 minutes down, below the telerifico station. The owners are very helpful and the vibe is more like you’re staying with a family than at some lodging. There was no breakfast included, but as a cyclist it was even an advantage for me as I could eat what I need and the accomodation price hugely offsets it.

Wonderful owner, great location, and very clean!

Ivan was a wonderful host, suggesting fun places to check out in the city and helping whenever miscellaneous travel problems arose. For example. on the day of my flight from El Alto, there was a protest blocking the roads to the airport, meaning that I couldn't take a taxi. So, Ivan woke up early to take me on the Teleferico and walk me the 20ish minutes from the Teleferico to the airport entrance - he even stayed to make sure I got checked into my flight alright. The hostel is very clean with a full kitchen, super hot water, and great wifi. I also appreciated that the hostel is very quiet, because it was outside of the city center (so no road noise). And, conveniently, Paititi hostel is a 5 minute walk to the Teleferico which drops you off in the center of town for only 3 bolivianos (~USD $0.44). Additionally, the hostel is a 5 minute walk from a huge daily fruit and veggie market where you can buy delicious and affordable produce.

Ivan is the best!!

A group of 7 of us stayed in this hostel for four nights. We were originally supposed to only be there 1 night but he accommodated our changes very easily. On our way there we had cab issues but Ivan was amazing and helped us figure everything out. His English is excellent and can recommend places to go. The room was a bit cramped but he's in the process of renovating and extending the hostel to accommodate more people and lockers. It's a short walk to the gondola (only 3 Bs) and the closest hostel to the airport. Quiet hostel, dont stay here if you want to party. Would stay here again!

Decent and well located

This hostel is tiny and when it is fully booked (16 people) it is probably a little tight. But it has two bath rooms, the location is awesome (close to the Cemetario and 15 min more walking to the main bus station), and beds are clean. Furthermore, the staff is still down to earth and not so much commercial like the rest of places in the city. They are very friendly, open for you thoughts and worth the support. Also, they are probably one of the best value for money hostels in La Paz.

New hostel close to Cementerio General

The owners (father and son) are great hosts, very kind, helpful and patient.
I stayed in an 8 bunk bed dorm with private bathroom.
There are 2 other bathrooms and showers outside the dorm.
The beds are comfortable and warm while the showers are very hot, one of the best showers I had in a long time!
Breakfast consists of a boiled egg, bread, cheese,butter, nice coffee or tea.
There is also a cosy living area and good Wi-Fi.
It is close to the teleferico which leads to the centre or a 10/15bs taxi.
Keep up the good work!!
