I will be back soon

It was not the first time I came here, I enjoy the peace and calm and hospitality since many years - and I always chose less travelled times. All these years, Lili (owner, manager, guide, etc) keeps this venue on impeccably high standard of service, value for money, cleanliness - simply making this venue and its amenities (swimming pool, pick up and delivery of guests, social area, space to work and chill, the views from the top level of then building, the contact with neighbours and local people in general) a unique experience. The breakfast alone is worth the money you spend for your overnight stay - and there is possibility to stay in shared rooms as well as in spacious suits with a view. The location is overlooking the whole village, a short walk to the busy beaches.

Staying at Mama Africa 2 was an absolute dream! More than just a hostel, it feels like a cozy boutique hotel where relaxation and authenticity blend perfectly. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home, thanks to the incredibly kind and helpful staff.
Every morning started with a delicious homemade breakfast, prepared with love and care. The atmosphere was peaceful, allowing me to truly unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Gamboa. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and designed with a charming local touch.
A special shoutout to Lilly, the amazing owner, who went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Not only did she arrange my transfer service, but she also helped organize my return trip, ensuring a stress-free journey. Her warmth and dedication made all the difference.
I’ve traveled a lot, but Mama Africa 2 stands out as the best experience of my life. If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing, and unforgettable stay in Gamboa, this is the place to be! I can’t wait to return.

What a beautiful experience!

All I can say is that it was one of the happiest experiences of my life!
Meeting Pousada Mama Africa 2 was an amazing experience! The personalized breakfast, made with affection, is of those who miss. The rooms are comfortable, well cared for and with that cosy and rustic touch that makes us feel like a beach house, but with total structure. The location is perfect: in Gamboa, a refuge of peace and natural beauty, away from the noise of Morro, but enough for anyone who wants, like me, to take a jump there. The service is impeccable — with a contagious sympathy that turns the stay into something even more special — Lily is a show apart. A place to relax, reconnect and want to come back! And I'll be back!

A Gamboa é um paraíso

A localização é óptima, de fácil acesso a praça, comércio da Gamboa e da pra fazer uma caminhada gostosa pela praia até a Ponta de Argila (melhor banho) e ao Morro de São Paulo. A pousada é linda demais a decoração é simplesmente incrível mistura de antiguidades e artigos. Os pássaros são moradores do local o que deixa a pousada mais aconchegante, o café da manhã é caprichado e a equipa é maravilhosa. Lilly é muito divertida e acolhedora.

Experiencia maravilhosa e ótima estadia no Mama Africa na Gamboa! Sorriso no rosto e sempre disposta a ajudar e sempre com dicas maravilhosas Lilli sempre atenciosa e zelosa!
Cafe da manha dos deuses! tudo fresco e natural, coisa de aconchego de casa de mãe!
Limpeza e organização nivel da NASA! Decoração linda original a proprietária como ja morou na África soube escolher o de melhor!
Já a Gamboa foi uma descoberta incrível super recomendo nao te agitação de Morro de Sao Paulo mas tem muita coisa bacana, historias gente hospitaleira praia linda e transporte para Morro!
