Good for budget and living amenities

This is a good place to go for people coming to Leticia either for transit to tours, or seeking a long term stay with the most essential amenities. The cost looks like the lowest possible level while providing all the basics.
It is very flexible with allowing you a place to leave your baggage in lockers for free if you wish to travel elsewhere and come back later. Kitchen provides all the basics like coffee, sugar, and places to store your food in and outside the fridge. And things for cooking, drinking, and eating on. Internet is also excellent. It is great for people seeking long term stays like digital nomads. One advantage here is the open border so you can move freely between 3 countries within the tri border region without limits on staying in any one location.

Friendly and Rustic Hideaway in the Jungle

Stayed for a night and enjoyed my stay at Casa do Xingu. The owner spoke perfect English and was very gracious and helpful. The wifi was strong (for the area), the breakfast was delicious, and the quiet location was about as close to nature as you can get.
The owner was also a wealth of information for things to do and see in this incredibly vibrant and exotic region!

The best place to stay in Leticia!

Here is the rundown,
The owners have a few different kinds of accommodations ranging in price and location. The more costly beds are in this beautiful house, clean and fully equipped, there is an outdoor shower that is just delightful, and an ambiance that exudes tranquility. The more affordable accommodations are about .4 miles away at a camp site that is fully equipped with beds, a kitchen with a propane stove, hammocks, a river near by, and just the most interesting travelers from all walks of life. I decided to spend my time at the camp site simply for the experience, though I was allowed to spend time at the hose for showers and relaxing. I met some of the most interesting people. If you are lucky you will meet Clever, he is an indigenous fellow from the Putumayo region of Colombia, he keeps on eye on the camp site for the owners. He is a real ubermensch.

Muy amable

We booked the hostel very spontaneously the night before arriving in Leticia but still Juan came to the airport to pick us up - very caring and flexible and for sure not a standard! However, as we had changed our plans to not stay in Leticia but Puerto Nariño, we did not stay in casa do xingu. As we told Juan he was not mad at all but very understanding also he made his way to the airport just to pick us up. It was no problem at all to chancel te reservation without any costs - so for everybody who wants to stay in Leticia, I can totally recommend this perfect service mentality!

Great family, great place

Warmly recommend this place for your stay in Leticia. Very good hosts with a lot of suggestions about places to visit and places to see.
