Very nice for a very reasonable price

Hotel certainly difficult to find with GPS and, for good reason, located in a superb setting, between lake, canal and forest.
Very comfortable rooms with minibar.
We will only regret the well-stocked minibar and a kettle, while no coffee is available. Weird.
The restaurant serves excellent food with a smile.
To recommend...

Horrible

Terrible stay and absolutely not recommended.
On arrival the spa appeared to be closed, without us being informed in advance. In addition, there was huge noise until the middle of the night because of a party in the hotel, so there was hardly any rest.
The staff was also anything but welcoming or helpful. When we checked out, we clearly expressed our displeasure and even showed pictures of the dirty and poorly maintained room. Despite our complaints and the clear evidence, no understanding was shown at all and we still had to pay the full price.
Very disappointing experience!!

Terrible. Everything was wrong.

Terrible hotel. Nothing was working - tv, fridge, phone. The shower was a joke with very poor stream even in the suite.
The two receptionists were rude, acting as it was all your fault.
On top of that there was a party until 3 o’clock so I didn’t get any sleep.
In the morning I wanted my money back. They were extremely rude and the boss was approaching to beat me. Never go there or you will risk spending your money in vain.

A Terrible day in Hotel Ostrova

We went for the pool. Employees don't know a word of English. They are very rude. The prices they charge are different from the prices on the menu. And they don't care when you object to it. Be careful! They never accept credit cards. You have to pay the entrance fee and food and drink in cash. The pool gets very full in the afternoon. The water of the pool is cloudy and you have hair in your hands while swimming. The toilet next to the pool is very dirty. There is no suitable place to change your clothes. This place is absolutly waste of time.

Relaxing place at the side of Plovdiv

However, this Hotel lies 6 km from the city center, the superclean and tidy pool gives you an extra benefit for the distance. So if you'd like to chull before/after the city, it's absolutely great choice. Rooms are OK, wifi is good, free parking, nice surrounding, not bad place. Just two strange things: breakfast is for extra charge on request (no buffet breakfast), and the pool is also payable, even if you're a hotel guest. So strange....
