They are close to the ferry. If they aren’t busy they can do takeout orders as well; just give them a call. The Indian food is really good; portion sizes are large.

Bayside Inn Restaurant
Alert Bay is a very nice community. We were here 3 years ago and the food was excellent. Last night the Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken did not disappoint. So good! Would totally recommend giving it a try.

Close to Ferry.
The Bayside Inn is a stones throw from the B.C. Ferry dock. The ferry runs from Port McNeill. The inn is above the grill and the pub. There was no noise concerns.
We ate in the restaurant. The fish and chips were great. Our room had two Queen size beds in it as well as a futon. There was a kitchen as well.
There is stair lift to climb the 17 stairs.
It is handy. It is clean and the food was good.

Needs a reno
This place needs a reno... or really needs to close down.
Old and filthy inside.
The owners are just the 2 of them, and they seem to be trying to run the restaurant and hotel.
The rooms are dirty... do not stay here...not worth the stress.

Business meeting
The hosts were excellent, kind and provided great service!!! The room was comfortable and came with a small kitchenette.
The Bayside Inn is central to the local ferry terminal and grocery store. Excellent location.
