Lovely Hotel

Room quite large and very adequate. Two queen beds in room, very comfy with good pillows. All staff very helpful and friendly, especially Neil on the concierge desk who was very helpful in planning our few days in Banff. Location great. Definitely happy to recommend, we would stay here again.

Hotel was great, and location was great for walking into the centre of Banff. Breakfast buffet was really poor!!!
Building site next door, (and I mean just a matter of metres from our bedroom window), meant we were woken up just after 7am all 3 mornings.
Most disappointing thing is how poorly the hotel staff handled the issue. Complained for days, acknowledging that it was not the hotels fault, but we felt they should issue a partial refund due to the impact this had on our holiday! Our group had 5 rooms for 9 people, so had spent a large amount of money, and 3 rooms were significantly impacted by the building site. The pleasant staff on reception were never able to get hold of a manager to deal with our complaint, and in the end we left the hotel after 3 nights (and 3 early starts!) with very negative feelings, which all could have been avoided, had they just acknowledged the issue appropriately.
It was never about trying to get a crazy compensation figure, just wanted the hotel to acknowledge it, and admit that at the very least we should have been warned about the building site, especially when we checked in.
For example, a warning at check in, and offer of a small reduction on each room would have made our stay a very different experience!!! If I’m ever lucky enough to go back to Banff, I won’t stay here!!!

I came here as a 60th bday and was told it was a boutique hotel. I walked in and the lobby was basic and dated. I explained my concern and then asked for an upgrade as part of the American Express. We check into our room and it has a view of a construction site. I was told this is the only room they have available

Good hotel, but the restaurant?

The rooms and hotelservice were good and they have a perfect spacious garage. The restaurant however is except from the waitress not good at all. The floor was dirty, and the kitchen was two out of four not capable to serve what promised, and it took time and time. The breakfastwindow is completely wrong. Starting at seven only for buspassengers means the restaurant is too small for other guests who payed the breakfast in advance. I would expect better from a experienced restaurant.

Wonderful stay overall.
They forgot to give us our free ROAM bus passes, until the day we checked out (and no longer needed them)
The room was great! Nice and clean. We even had fresh towels and the bed made daily!
We didn’t get a chance to use the pool or the large hot tub but it looked amazing! Did not smell overly chlorinated.
The water dispenser in gym area was empty for the duration of our stay, even though we did notify the front desk.
The concierge decided to not come in to work ( we heard he often does this) on the first day of our stay so we could not get advice from him as we had hoped.
The hotel restaurant sucked. They charged us an extra $2.00 each, to put our salad dressing on the side. The added chicken tasted like deli meat and lots of the lettuce was brown. I always order my dressing on the side and have never once been up charged for it.
We had the room directly across from the ice maker, I read some people complaining of the noise but honestly it didn’t bother us. We were rarely in the room. The AC unit made such a loud noise, maybe it drowned out the ice machine. Lol
