We proudly offer you a beautiful new boutique bed and breakfast located on two acres on Panorama Ridge in Chemainus, B.C. We are centrally located on Vancouver Island with easy access for day trips to Victoria, Parksville, Qualicum Beach and the west coast of the island. We overlook Ladysmith Harbour and Stuart Channel with stunning views of the ocean and the city lights of Vancouver, mainland mountains including Grouse, the Lions and Black Tusk. We are located in a private and quiet neighbourhood surrounded by terraced gardens and forests. Our natural setting is ideal for local wildlife and we have a large variety of song birds who frequent our gardens. There is a long list of activities available nearby, including fishing, hiking, shopping, local artisans, sight-seeing, the popular Chemainus Theatre live dinner theatre, and much more. We are not handicap friendly due to the number of stairs and steep driveway. Smoking is not permitted in the house, however there is a designated smoking area outside. We now offer accommodation packages with the Chemainus Theatre Festival that includes a 15% discount on dinner and/or theatre tickets. Situated in Chemainus, Panorama Bed and Breakfast provides accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. Some units feature a balcony and/or a patio with garden views. An American breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. The bed and breakfast offers a sun terrace. Cycling can be enjoyed nearby. Nanaimo is 32 km from Panorama Bed and Breakfast, while Duncan is 20 km away. The nearest airport is Victoria International Airport, 64 km from the property. It was delightful!

We stayed in the suite above the garage. It was an amazing view! Accommodation was great with all the amenities needed. Our hosts were lovely and breakfast was great. I'd totally recommend this B and B to others.

Amazing

I cannot say enough good things about this B&B! Although we were the only guests during our stay (weekdays in late Spring), Cathy and Ted made my husband and myself feel completely welcome from the very beginning. There was no awkwardness, and they struck just the right balance of being social without being intrusive. We stayed in the Ocean room, and were simply amazed by the view when we first walked in. Everything was clean and comfortable... They thought of everything. The jacuzzi is so relaxing after a day of hiking! Also, the breakfasts are scrumptious. As far as the area goes, we fell in love with Vancouver Island. We rented a car in Victoria, and it took us about an 1h15m to get to the B&B. It was a scenic drive (I'm inclined to think all drives on VI are), and the roads are great with lots of signs. There are so many things to do in and around Chemainus, that we felt three days wasn't nearly enough. We particularly enjoyed the Holland Creek (I think that was the name) hike that our hosts recommended, as well as a visit to Port Renfrew and Botanical Beach (also a Ted and Cathy rec). We will definitely be back, hopefully to stay in the newly opened loft next time!! Thanks so much for the hospitality.

Vancouver Island at it's best !

We had the opportunity to stay three nights this July at the Panorama B&B. Myself, my wife and our son were on the island house hunting. We choose the loft suite.
Wow....... The perfect suite for a family. Beautiful big suite, , well appointed, terrific beds and linens, and an enormous deck with this awe inspiring view out over the ocean and the mountains. We had an opportunity to view all of the amazing rooms in the main house, but really enjoyed the loft and it's privacy.
Terrific breakfasts, and the main house was just stunning with all of the common areas available to guests, Each of the Themed suites offer their own individual appeal, and it's obvious the pride the owners Ted and Cathy feel for their property.
The owners are the most informed tour guides one could hope for, with all of the information you might need for local attractions, places to eat, transportation questions, etc.
We have never, ever stayed at a B&B, this was a first for us, but wow, what a much better experience than a hotel. I think we are now converts..... why stay at a hotel with 100 noisy guests all around you when this B&B offers all the amenities of a hotel, but with the peace and quite only a country B&B can offer, This property is on a gentle hill looking east over the ocean and past to the mainland mountains. The sunrises will take your breath away.
All of the technology was in place, internet, cable, and worked perfectly..this was important when we were doing all our research on house hunting. So grateful for all of the advice that Ted and Cathy offered on the island, helped us be way more focused and efficient on our house hunt.
Could not offer a stronger endorsement of this place for future travelers, so happy we stumbled upon it..

Absolutely perfect

Only stayed one night but wish it had been longer. We stayed in Ocean room and loved it but saw all the rooms and they're all great. Kudos to Kathy and Ted for creating this wonderful place and being such great hosts. Excellent breakfast too!

Lovely views and friendly hosts

The Panorama B&B was a wonderful experience. Ted had recommended the ocean room and the views were magnificent from the room and the lovely porch. Cathy and Ted are welcoming hosts and gave us brochures about what to see in the area. We had a very lovely visit and would love to return for another stay.
