We stayed in one of the 4 bedroom dorms. It had 2 full bathrooms. Very clean, excellent parking, and wonderful staff. Highly recommend if youre looking to save some money on your travels. Would definitely go back.

Well, I was booked 3 nights, on Wednesday the second day I recieved a call from Ontario that due to a Situation I had to return Thursday, I spoke to the girl at the desk about a night refund and she said " NO PROBLEM, come back at 5 Pm and they would do that . When I came back at 5 a different girl said a refund of 1 night was not possible.
Now as a Senior of 83 yrs young, and a Veteran plus due to the situation I was NOT going to have an argument as it would not have ended well.
My question is : Is Mount St. Vincent University on financial disaster that they are unable to refund 1 night, if so please let me know and I will gladly spread ALL OVER many sites that this is the way a Veteran and Senior is treated..
Still want 1 night refunded !!

This was an affordable way to stay in Hailfax for cheap. It is a college dorm room, which I loved. Although the bathrooms are shared, they are private single bathrooms when in use. Make sure you bring your Clorox wipes. Know that the hill to the dorm is not for people who are out of shape.

Very spacious with 4 separate bedrooms, livingroom, 2 full bathrooms and kitchen area. Only downside is there was no air conditioning (and it was 30C during the day). There was a fan provided in each bedroom plus a window fan for the livingroom. Fans worked great but they had dust and dirt built up on them from previous use so could impact people with allergies. The fans made it bearable later into the evening and with the windows open overnight it was OK for sleeping. Beds were comfortable but only one thin pillow was provided so thankfully I had also brought my own.

It is a dorm and although advertised a sea view we were put in the bottom level so didn’t get the view. Beds were very uncomfortable-think thin hospital bed on a wood frame. Place was fairly clean, no A/C so if travelling in summer it may get very warm. We visited when it was about 25 degrees and thankfully it got cool at night or else it would not have been tolerable. Bathroom had good water pressure.
Place was fairly clean but still a dorm.
