Paradise Canyon Golf Resort

Service was excellent from the start. Felt welcome and at ease emediatly. We got allocated to our 4 units very quicly and easily. Units came as advertised and we had no concerns

Resort fees ridiculous

First it should be known that this is not a resort even though they charge $35/day for resort fees. There is a small seasonal kidney shaped pool and an 8 person hot tub. A tennis court and basketball court. None of which we used so a 'pay per use' fee would be nice. There's no mini golf, arcade, water slides, splash pads etc. that most 'resorts' have. The golf course is extra...a lot extra! Our unit was main floor and our view was a 30' hill of dirt and weeds. On top of the hill was the golf course. The wrought iron patio chairs were terrible to sit on and the table didn't look like it had been cleaned in weeks. Our patio door did not shut tight and it took all our strength to open it enough to get out. We were responsible for cleaning even though we paid a $90 cleaning fee (on top of the $35/day resort fee).
On the positive side, Kelsey, the restaurant manager and her staff were exceptional. Our unit was nicely laid out with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, washer/dryer and all the utensils/pots/pans needed.
The golf course is in immaculate shape. Greens are fast but receptive. Fairways are narrow but fair. Very challenging course. Pro shop staff were friendly and polite. Carts were electric with GPS for the course on them. The wildlife was abundant with deer, eagles, rabbits all around. If I was just rating the golf course I'd give it a 10!
My issues are the resort fees and the lack of a view. It is misleading showing all the units on the golf course giving the impression you will be able to sit out on your balcony or patio and watch the golfers go by. Even if we'd had an upper unit with the balcony facing the street that would have been better. When we arrived at 6PM (check in isn't until 5PM) the girl had gone home already and just left an envelope on the counter for us with our name on it...no service there. Plus we had to call a number and give our credit card info over the phone so we could be charged the resort/cleaning fee.
If you choose to stay here, be very clear on what unit you are getting. And understand the extra fees.

Wonderful getaway

This resort is very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the customer service is great.
Four of us went - three golfed and said the course was the best well kept course they have seen. We tried the clubhouse cafe for dinner one night - decided it’s more a lunch place .
Watch for the bunnies that come around towards the evening - quite fun to watch them.
Restaurants ? You have to go to the Firestone- great atmosphere and food. For a touristy restaurant check out the Water Tower.

Paradise?

Used this resort, very disappointed in the housekeeping fees that are calculated dainty (300+ for a week!) this is over and above the exchange fees etc.
We had an emergency and left after one day with no consideration given. I’m sure it was rented out yet we were still charged for a week of housekeeping. If it was rented then it’s double dipping and gouging of the client.
Obviously booking this location is off our list, which is sad because the staff are wonderful, excluding and operating management!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you had to leave early due to an emergency, and we understand how frustrating that situation must have been.
To clarify, the housekeeping fee is a one-time charge applied per reservation, not a daily fee. During our off-season there is also a mandatory usage fee of $25 per day. Both of these fees are clearly outlined during the booking process, included again in the booking confirmation, and provided once more in the reservation confirmation we send prior to arrival so guests are aware of all charges in advance.
We truly appreciate your kind words about our staff and will be sure to share your comments with the team. While we regret that your stay was cut short, we do hope you might consider visiting again in the future under better circumstances.
