The hotel is very conveniently and centrally located downtown. It’s about a 7 or 8 minute walk to the Bell Center. The continental breakfast is very basic and its offerings. The “fitness center” was disappointing. It only had one elliptical machine, one treadmill and a bench with free weights in a very small room. I was hoping for something more.

It was a good stay overall. Hotel was in a great location, steps away from St Catherine Street.
Room was big. AC worked well. Breakfast was good but not consistent everyday. Only negative, through no fault of hotel, is all the street construction in area.

Not bad but let down by the breakfast provided, the choice was very limited but as it was complimentary better than nothing. The main problem was the lack of space in the breakfast room, especially around the food area with people under each others feet. Getting a seat was difficult a lot of the time, apart from very early.

Very disappointing and not up to hotel standards
Unfortunately, our stay at Comfort Suites Downtown Montreal was very disappointing. The condition of the room was not what we expected from a hotel.
The room appeared poorly maintained, with visible dirt, staining and deterioration around the walls and baseboards. Most concerning was the electrical setup: exposed/poorly secured wiring and an electrical connection that looked improvised and unsafe. The photo attached was taken inside our room and speaks for itself.
For the price we paid for 2 rooms, we expected a clean, well-maintained and safe room. Instead, the overall condition gave us the impression that the room had not received the proper maintenance or attention it needed.
I understand that hotels can have older rooms, but old does not mean poorly maintained or unsafe. This experience significantly affected our stay, and I would expect management to address these issues rather than simply accept them as normal.
I would not recommend this hotel based on the condition of our room, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously.

We liked the location as it was near the downtown. The only thing is that there is not parking at the location so you have to park in some garage. Also there are lots of construction work going when we went in Aug 2026 so lots of roads were closed to hotel. Average breakfast with not too many options.
