The location of this hotel is perfect for a short stay in Quebec City! The staff was great. I would mention I do not recall the mention of no elevator which for one on our group was a bit of an issue but for some people it definitely would not work.

We could not have asked for a better location. Parking can be a bit tricky especially during peak hours for this touristic center, but the staff was super helpful trying to help us find parking. The room was perfect, spacious and comfortable. Great place. I highly recommend.

On arrival at the property I presented myself to the front desk and was issued a room card key. I advised the front desk staff that I was informed by a previous guest that the hotel has had issues with cleanliness and maintenance and that I wanted to inspect / see the room prior to checking in.
I proceeded to the room ( # 1 main floor level). The hallway to the room was so dark and the air was dead and unpleasant. I found the shower stall interior to have excessive amounts of black fungi in the corners and many areas of failed silicone caulk where it would be impossible for staff to clean / disinfect the area of harmful infectious pathogens.
I found the fan/ heater next to the toilet to be rusted and not properly cleaned and disinfected ( covered in rust and appeared to have urine stains)
While doing my inspection I also focused on the bed mattress area where I found evidence of bed bug excrement ( black dots ) and exoskeletons ( their outer shells).
The one window in the room had a only a very flimsy latch to lock and the was now screen in the window, (This room was ground floor next to a side walk). I reported my observations to the employee at the form t desk and advise them that the room was unaccepted and not what was promoted n there website. The employee advise me that the building was old and that there was nothing he could do about my concerns.
I would not stay at the property in the future .

Poorly maintained, patched unpainted wall and ceiling drywall repairs, cheap floors with dog eared edges, mish mash of furniture, cheap toiletries.
Overall overpriced poor value for
the condition of the property. Won’t stay here again!!

The front desk was never manned the hours that it was supposed to be. There was no where to leave luggage securely if you arrive before 4pm or after 11am check out. The room was pretty run down with the heater falling off the wall, terribly noisy bathroom fan, broken blow dryer and a plethora of grunge under the beds. The bathroom heater was rusty, the walls needed touch ups where the paint had been damaged and the laminate flooring looked as though it had been flooded at some point. Constant creaking of the floor boards above made for a poor nights sleep. I would not recommend this hotel. The only benefit would be the location up beside the Chateau.
