A very nice modern motel. Clean, great staff and reasonably priced. Great breakfast included.

I had a bad experience on my previous night visit with a leak from room above. I was given a fan to dry the carpet and a promise of a rebate of sorts on my stay. I had to use a garbage bin to catch the water on second night leaking from above. Before checking out, I was told I would be credited back for one night. Upon checkout, I was told mgt had refused that refund and they would give me a$40 refund. Not really happy, I rebooked another night expecting the refund. It was credited to my card and taken back the same day. I confronted desk mgr, I was basically told, "Oh well. That's the new mgt." Sadly, I won't be staying there again. I had spent almost $3000 at this hotel with previous mgt. and had always enjoyed my stays. New mgt doesn't appear to have any client appreciation,or help with issues.

It was somewhat misleading the reviews for this hotel. When I first pulled up I felt it was in a bit of a sketchy part of the city. More like the inner city. Which is fine we all need a place to be. However, within minutes of parking and waiting to check in I was approached by a few locals who clearly are struggling to find their way. Asking me for money asking me to use my phone Etc . That was my first turn off. Don't judge me for that. I was traveling alone and I just didn't feel safe. Once I got to the room I knew this was not a place I was going to be able to stay . There was an overwhelming smell of old smoke they were clearly trying to cover up with some sort of cleaning product or air freshener. I immediately went down to the front desk and explained that although it was very clear the room had been cleaned it was not a place I was able to stay in. Whatever it was I instantly broke out into hives . The front attendant was very gracious and offered me the option of another room. But I did not have the confidence it was going to be much better. So I left without even staying. I was unable to change my reservation or even cancel it even though for the second night I was well within the cancellation policy. All I can say is the hotel was a good fit for the price you will pay for the room. Don't expect much.

The front desk employee that worked Saturday and Sunday during the day was great! He was super friendly and accommodating.

Front desk was quick, organized and also helped with ideas for restaurants. There are many restaurants close by varying from fast food to Indian, Mexican, Japanize, Chinese. Restaurants range from sophisticated to casual dining. The lady managing the breakfast room was most pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The hot water thermos wasn't keeping the hot water hot and she would go to the kitchen to get water for patrons. The buffet was replenished regularly with hot pancakes, eggs, yogurt, milk, cereal, bread, etc. and condiments. Room air conditioning was operating well to keep the room comfortable, although a little loud. The room was clean and has been updated by newer/newer blinds, curtains and carpet. We stayed two nights and found clean towels in our room on the second day. I would consider Park Hill Inn and Suites on another visit to Red Deer.
