Horrible Experience, Dirty hotel, worst managerial experience!
Do not reserve this hotel. It is outdated, poorly maintained, and unfortunately, our experience with the hotel staff—particularly the front desk management—was extremely disappointing.
The front desk manager, Nicolas, specifically asked me to provide photos documenting the issues with our room. I supplied the requested images, only to be told afterward that these were considered “minor issues” and that they could not assist me.
For clarity, the “minor issues” included:
-Stranger’s hairs found in the bed
-Damp/moist carpeting throughout the room
-A spilled drink and cup left underneath the bed
-Debris under the bed that clearly had not been vacuumed
-Towels that were visibly stained
These are not minor issues when you are paying for a clean hotel room.
I would also strongly recommend being very careful when booking this hotel through a third-party website. If you are dissatisfied with your stay and request a refund, the hotel may direct you back to the third-party booking company, while the third party directs you back to the hotel. You can easily find yourself going in circles with neither party taking responsibility.
Based on our experience with the cleanliness of the room, the condition of the property, and especially the way our concerns were handled by management, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Be careful before renting, look at all the reviews, very mediocre place.
For a 4-star rated hotel, I think it was 20 years ago; the room leaves something to be desired, spider webs in the corners of the walls, not to mention an ant infestation, and also the general cleanliness leaves something to be desired. I went to mention it at the front desk, which offered me another room on the floor above, the 3rd. Subsequently, at 10:20, my girlfriend and the children were startled awake by the room's smoke detector, which went off for no reason 3 times, so I had to go to the front desk again where I asked for a refund, which was refused because the staff was left to themselves without a supervisor, so they told me to sleep there without a detector, which is not supposed to happen, and we refused, so they made us move rooms around 11 p.m. We were therefore unable to rest as supposed to, so when we left, I asked for the supervisor to call me for compensation for all the inconveniences incurred, and while speaking with him, he did not want to know anything at all; for him, it was not necessary, he really did not care about us, very disappointed with the service, never again President Hotel Sherbrooke.

I found the place to be outdated, the location is good, the room was clean but lighting not efficient and room looked very old! For the price of almost 220$ I would expect more, the bedding was good, cable not many choices, and not any electricity plugs placed where you could easily plug in your charger ot other thing that you may need!

The hotel is ok, but disappointing for a supposed 4 star. The decor is very dated, predominantly dark and brown with little light in the rooms. There is no bar or communal area at all, the restaurant is good for breakfast (we didn’t try the evening pasta bar) but seems limited and run as a separate venue to the hotel. This feels more like a motel where you have a reception. Desk and a room and that’s it, than a fully functioning hotel with services.
