Unsatisfactory stay

Very disappointed. Bad experience: the single room is a 9m2 cagibi with no outside window, with a very small bed (by the way no pictures on the sites), yes the manager speaks French but not the other staff members.
The hotel is located near Sucupira, in the city center, far from the sea (30 min walk).
For me the only positive was the quality of the cuisine, the meals were really excellent, served on the roof terrace

Strange behavior

We chose this hotel for its location, close to the city center and the plato. It had good reviews, which convinced us then for our choice of hotel. Communication was quite efficient and a transfer between the airport and the hotel was arranged quite quickly.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the boss who spoke French. From the outset, he frightened us by telling us that we had to beware, that the city was dangerous and that there were pickpockets. So much so that we hesitated to walk in the city center and sucupira market. Turns out his alarmist tone was disproportionate. We did not feel insecure, even at night.
The room was functional but small, the bedding not very comfortable with a tiny cushion. The soundproofing was catastrophic with customers slamming doors all the way and especially not discreet...
We left early the next day, we had to ask for a packed lunch (which was charged extra!) since we had paid for breakfast otherwise it would not have been offered to us.
The driver who handled the transfers drove dangerously and too fast when there were not many people on the road. Risks had been taken unnecessarily and his unconscious behaviour should be reviewed as soon as possible.
A hotel to stay one night waiting for your connection and again...

Good enough

One of the better hotels in Praia, I think, with comfortabel but a bit soulless rooms. Very good service. Main problem: the canopy covering the restaurant doesn't cover it completely so that when it rains, and it sometimes / often does, there are few dry places to sit.

Very clean friendly staff and a French boss who did everything he could to make me feel better when I had problems with having to go back.
